Thyroid and fertility

Well ladies I might finally have a reason this is taking me so long. I have always had mild thyroid problems and I just had blood work drawn. Turns out my thyroid is elevated. Not abnormal if I wasn't ttc but much research shows my levels need to be lower to have a successful pregnancy. Just wanted to give others a heads up if they too had thyroid problems. Feeling hopeful that if I can get my levels down that I will too be with a bump soon. :D

Baby dust to all!!

    Charlotte,
So what are they going to do about your levels? Are you going to have to take something?I hope that information helps and gives you the answer you have been needing! Sounds like october could be the month!

They bumped up my synthroid (Meds)levels. Thyroid levels can be a bit of a guessing game so let's see how it goes! At least I have something to work on. How are you?

My partner is in the same situation... her levels were a bit up, too. She also figured out about 4 weeks ago that she has a sensitivity to wheat products (celiac desease)... one of the symptoms of that is thyroid problems!! Now that she has discovered that and has cut all wheat, rye, and barley out of her diet, she's hoping her levels will regulate and she can stop taking the medicine. (They only gave her a small 25 mg.) Since quitting the wheat she also has virtually eliminated all her heartburn issues, which she was dealing with on a DAILY basis. :) We're going to be trying round three in a week or so... crossing fingers.
