hmmm...again , this has noting to do with the donors privacy...the information of their donor number is their information...and if they decided to post on the DSR, well thats a place where mutual contact is wished...if you gave the donors their number, that doesnt make it possible for them to be sought out unless they wanted to be found since both the donor and the purchaser of the specimen both were looking for contact...taking it one step further, someone who donated years ago before ID options was available , now may be interested in contact...why not allow for donor conceived people to contact Fairfax letting it be know that contact is open, and a donor could also do the same, fairfax makes the exchange of info and then steps back...why wont Fairfax provide DSR pamphlets in the wating room?

Our privacy policy stands for anonymous donors, as there are many people that used the donor under these privacy standards. Giving an anonymous donor his number may also open the opportunity for him to seek out children and families who wish to remain anonymous. Fairfax Cryobank understands the desire for many families to know more about the donor. We hope that the sibling registry on this board will allow people to connect with families that are verified to have used the donor sperm through Fairfax Cryobank.
