IVM??

manda210manda210 Member Member
Has anyone tried IVM? Where you successful?? If you havent read any of my other posts I have had 3 unsuccessful IUIs on Clomid with a good amount of follicles the last two times....i have switched docs and now have found I have a lot of problems that my first doc NEVER mentioned...I have PCOS, polyps, and possible endometriosis. My current doc is going to do surgery to remove the polyps and has me on Metformin for the PCOS and said that I can have Laparoscopy (i think thats what its called) for the endometriosis if I want but hes not sure if i have it and isnt sure if its best to do the surgery. Its up to me which i have NO idea what to do! His best recommendation is to do IVM then I he said the endometriosis doesnt matter but that costs around 7000-8000 thousand. My other options are to do more IUIs with clomid or femera with or without the Laparoscopy. I dont know what to do...anyone have any advice??

    Manda,
I have never heard of ivm but after looking it up online it looks like a newer procedure that has aabout a 32% success rate, which is better than iui although this is more expensive. It all sounded very interesting and will be something that I keep in mind.

I had a dnc to take care of a fibroid and to clean off my uterine lining. I too have endometriosis. I had laproscopic surgery but that was to clean off endometriosis off of my left ovary, which eventually had to be removed. What is the doctor going to do to remove the polyps? If they are going to do a dnc that would clear out your lining and if you are not having issues with your ovaries I am not sure that you need the laproscopic surgery. Especially if the doc is leaving that up too you. That is just my 2 cents worth.

    I hope that helps some!

Sending you lots of positive thoughts and baby dust!
