hpt says yes?!!

robinrobin Senior Member Senior Member
Ok Ladies,
I am shaking and crying while writing this post and trying not to get to excited. I am 13 days post trigger shot and could not wait anymore and had to test. The hpt said yes! :o Here is my question could the trigger shot still be in my system? I am supposed to check per the doctor on tuesday and had decided that I would test on monday but could not wait. I am nervous even writing this with the fear that it was too soon and the trigger is still in my system. I have had some symptoms that af might show like sore breasts and just a feeling. So I decided to test because if she was going to show early I would rather see that no on the test and to my shock it said yes! Should I be hesitantly optimistic, should I pretend I didn't take it (heck don't think I can do that!) or I don't know what else I can do. I am not sharing this with anyone but you ladies!

Anyone with any advice? It would be GREATLY appreciated!

Robin

Oh and call your doctors office and get your beta done this am!!! Don't be anything but excited. It says online that for every 1000 hcg that you take is one day. It says most take 10 says to get out of your system. I'm so happy for u

    Charlotte,
I know right! I can't go to the docs this morning as right now I am at work because I have to take a young lady to go take her ACT and I get to sit there for 6 hours and wait while she takes it! A boring saturday I know but I have the hope of this good news to keep me awake and excited! I have read that sometimes it takes 14 days to get out of your system. So I am still hesitantly optimistic. My doc tells me not to call until after day 16 so I would have to wait to call him anyway. I have read elsewhere where it takes 10 days to get out of the system but ona few forums I read there were 1 or 2 ladies that got a false positive at this date. Right now I really WISH my doc did beta tests at 14 days post iui!

Thanks for the positive thoughts and encouragement! It means the world to me! :D

I seriously can't stop thinking about you this morning. Your story should be an inspiration to all that positivity will go a long way. If you want something bad enough and believe it will happen then it most likely will. Please savor this moment!! It is such a blessing. I know it's not official until Tuesday but take your own advice and just imagine that lite pumpkin seed growing in your belly. This is really amazing news!!!

I look forward to Tuesday's post. One follie one ovary and one BIG FAT POSITIVE!!

I would be cautiously optimistic. I don't think it's time to start buying strollers just yet. That's borderline of the earliest that the trigger is gone. I would keep testing each morning. I assume you're using digital tests. I've heard a lot if people with triggers use the dip ones with the lines because they start early and watch the line lighten to either disappear for a BFN or get dark again for a BFP. I would go by the saying " pregnant until proven otherwise". But don't get overly excited just in case because I'd hate for it to be a trigger induced false positive and you go for several days on cloud nine just to have a huge bubble bust. I'm crossing fingers for you and hoping upon hope that this is your little bean. Be a sticky little bean and a strong healthy baby!!! GL!

I know from what I have read on other forums they used the tests with the pimk lines. I did use a digital test and am hestiantly optimistic as I have never tested early. I have always waited until the 16 days were up. For some reason I just couldn't wait that long this month. I will test again on monday morning before acupuncture and will ask my acupuncturist what she feels in my pulse. According to the books I have read, she should be able to detect it in my pulse. Becuase I am not sure if the test is accurate, I am not told anyone else but you ladies. I couldn't keep the yes to myself and had to share it with someone. There is no feeling like seeing that yes this morning. Hoping it stays yes!

I had two positive pregnancy tests within the last year, both on Day 14. I kind of thought AF was coming, but it was different, hard to explain but that is about the time my "girls" were incredibly sore. They are never sore...well, I can't say never anymore.

With the pulse...I actually went to my Doctor's office one week after an IUI because my pulse rate was really elevated (extra 20 beats per minute) and I had a slight temperature (I normally run lower a lower temp). I thought I was coming down with something. Then on the drive to the office to get checked, I remembered the only time I remember my pulse being elevated was when I was pregnant the first time.

So we got to the office, got checked...I was told to drink plenty of fluids, take it easy and test on the next Tuesday. I took only one test on that Tuesday morning (we only had one... :D ) We went in for a beta later that morning and here we are now...almost 8 months pregnant.

    Congratulations!!! :D

And the great pumpkin visits Robin! So happy for you girl, I don't KNOW about it being a false positive, but I know for me, mine was out of my system at 10 days, so I think you are in the clear! Let us know how those beta numbers are when you see the doctor this week, hope you are having a relaxing weekend!
So glad your pumpkin seed is nice and toasty!
    BIG HUGS!

    Ladies,
Thank you all for the positive words and hopeful thoughts. I am glad that I am very busy this weekend as it is helping to keep my mind off of this and making it so I don't go out and buy like 20 hpt tests to test every hour! I will wait until monday and see what it says! I am hoping for that sticky pumpkin seed. I feel different this time around. Not sure how to explain it, just different.

    Robin :D

Robin!!!! OMG!!!! Yes!! Name and claim your pumpkin seed!!! On average the trigger shot is generally out of your system 10 days afterward. I'm hoping that the next few days fly by and it will be Tuesday before you know it. I'm wishing you high BETA numbers when you see your doctor. I totally understand about the cautious optimism....it's only natural after what we have ALL experienced during this journey. I have very positive feelings about this cycle and think this is your cycle to succeed! Please keep us posted and I'm wishing you a very sticky pumpkin seed. Congrats!

YAY Robin! The Great Pumpkin came to visit you!! Glad he saw at least one of us this month:) I'm pretty sure you're in the clear! My doc does 1st BETA 12 days after IUI and if positive 2 days later. I know about the feeling different and unable to explain it, that's what happened the month I got my BFP. Hope the little seed is very very sticky! Keep us posted! So happy for you:)

    Well ladies, who's next????
  • robinrobin Senior Member Senior Member
    OK Ladies,
I just tested again this morning and guess what?!!!! IT SAID YES AGAIN!!!!!!!! :D I am so excited, there is NO way that it is still the trigger shot as that is supposed to be out of your system by 14 days at the max and today is day 15. I will check again tomorrow since my doc wants me to check at day 16 after the trigger but it will be good news tomorrow too!!

I am beyond words right now. I want to go upstairs and wake my sister up but I will wait a few hours and let her sleep. So I had to come on here and tell you ladies! Keep the faith everyone! Tomorrow I will be posting one ovary, one follicle and one BIG FAT POSITIVE! It can and WILL happen for each of you! You all know the struggles i have faced in this journey and I have lots of time ahead of me, however I will savor this huge step. I wish that the test would say yes forever because this would be the first thing to go in the baby's scrap book.

baby dust to all of you and here's to hoping I have a few pregnancy buddies through this journey! How about it latebloomer, Moe, Anne, Charlotte?! I will continue to pray for each of you on this journey. My little pumkin has stuck!

    Regan,
I am sorry for your BFN, I cried when I read that. But keep the faith sister. It only takes one! It will happen for you!

baby dust to you all again!

Any news? Have you taken any more tests? I'm keeping fingers crossed for you!!!
  • robinrobin Senior Member Senior Member
    Amirasmommy,
I took another test this morning day 15 past the trigger and it said yes! I had acupuncture today and she said my pulses felt great and strong! I will do another tomorrow bc that is the day my doc wants me to test. I am sure I will want to call them tomorrow at 330am like today! Alas no one will be in the office! I will have the beta done tomorrow to confirm but for me todays test confirmed it along with the acupuncturist!

I will keep you all posted on my little pumpkin!

Well, well??? It's already 10am! C'mon, pins and needles, Robin, pins and needles!
I'm so excited for you, I'm stress eating a batch of toll house chocolate chip cookies, I don't think I've made (or even craved) those since I was about ten years old, but I'm blaming you! So, thanks again! And I mean that, I LOVE these cookies!
Here's hoping for great beta numbers!

I SECOND THAT!! Pins & needles, pins & needles!! ... Can't wait to hear the "official" word, Robin! ;)
  • robinrobin Senior Member Senior Member
    So Ladies,
Another hpt said positive again this morning. I called my doc's office and as they are extremely busy in the mornings, I did not hear back until after 10am. They said I could go in tomorrow for blood work, I said I can come in this afternoon. They said, that is fine but we won't have the results until tomorrow. Which is fine BUT i want to have the blood work at least started today! So no "official ord" and no beta numbers until tomorrow but 3 tests are not lying! Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months!

Talk about pins and needles! Yesterday and today I have woken up at 3 am and had to pee so tested. Yesterday I was so excited I didn't go back to sleep and than couldn't fall asleep until like 11. Today was able to go back to sleep at 4:30. I guess this is just to help me get used to those 3 am feedings! ;) Boy am I tired today. I don't think I will be going to my class tonight. I need to go home and take a nap!

Thanks for all the positive thoughts tomorrow the post will read One ovary, One follicle and one BFP! Stay tuned!

    Robin
