Donor 4174

kris&shankris&shan Junior Member Junior Member
Donor 4174 is our first choice so far. We are trying for the first time on December 1st. Has anyone had any luck with this donor? Did you have boys or girls? As far as looks go, does this donor have strong genes? We want our child to look like us--of course the baby will look like my partner because she is the one who is going to carry, but we both have fair skin with no olive tones. This donor matches what we want in every way except that he has olive skin. I think olive skin is beautiful, so if that is the his only quality that does not match exactly what we want, then that is okay. At least he/she won't have to worry about sunburns as much as his mom's do!

I was wondering if you were able to proceed with this donor? I'd seen in the forum that he'd gone on "Wait List" status back in May 2011 and he's currently on the same status, again. So, I'm curious to see if he became available but then went back into a waiting status, or if he's remained in that same status for the entirety of the last several months. It kinda makes me nervous to use a donor who seems so "popular," if that makes sense? Thanks!

I wouldn' judge you, no worries. The reason why you are going this route is the same reason I am and I completly understand how personal it is. I was asking because the donor I like the most just happens to be very popular and I took it as a good sign. I was thinking maybe you had a concern about popular donors and it wasn't something I had thought of. I also don't have any intentions or plans on meeting half siblings. Its not something that I would be comfortable with either.
