Yes I did...and I got pregnant right away after 8 failed attempts with another donor. My son was born last June, and at 42, I can't be happier. I have a 12 year old daughter conceived the old fashioned way....she is finally a big sister! :D

Thank you sO much for your post that you tried 8 attempts before you were successful. I am going to have my 8th iui in a wek or two and was starting to feel like the exemption not the rule.

Hearing of your success gives me hope. God bless your family

I know the pain of the monthly negatives...or Bloody show, meaning something took but didn't continue. It's aweful and leads to feeling desperate. I did 9 IUI attempts. My son was # 9. I was ready to try ivf with an egg donor... I didn't believe the ninth attempt worked but a little voice popped into my head one night..."Heh mom, I'm here!"
I had given up taking the progesterone but restarted after that...one of my co-workers asked me if something had changed in my life... and I still have the pregnancy test showing I was pregnant. Then It was a fifty-fifty chance of an ectopic pregnancy...the embryo was interstitial. Two weeks of praying and visualizing and hoping and the following ultrasound showed the embryo had moved!!!!!!!!!!!
Then on Christmas Eve I had bad cramping and bled Christmas morning. I was convinced I had miscarried. I couldn't get an ultrasound because everything was closed for four days of pain. I had to ask the technician twice to see the heart when she said the heart rate was ok......
I had a chorionic hemmorage. Then after the amnio was perfect, my partner of two years left. He couldn't handle that I was pregnant by someone else- he had a vasectomy. It was a hellish year and I only wish the pregnancy could have been sweeter. And now my son is nursing and smiling with his darling eyes. All worth it. My daughter cut the cord when he was born :D

I wish you all the best.
