Family Solutions

Has anyone used a donor from the Family solutions section? Their vials are discounted and we are not sure why?

I think it has to do with stock. They discuss it somewhere on the website...if I run across it I'll let you know. But I've read it somewhere before on here.

They put donors in and out of that category so that people who cant afford more expensive donors have a chance to get donors cheaper.(Thats what they told me on the phone) Our favorite donor which we were able to use once (unsuccessful) was in that category so we were able to get him cheaper but we didnt buy extra and now hes more expensive again. So it has nothing to do with quality. Good Luck with whatever donor you pick!!

I'm starting to question the quality.. we hope we just got a bad vial.. we order from the family solutions and brought 2 vials.. we did our IUI last month we were unsuccessful.. Our doctor told us the motile sperm was 6.8 and the standard is 10 so we are in the process of a refund for that vial.

After talking to the Cryobank we were able to determine it was a fluke bad vial. I was so happy to hear that it was not me or the hospital did something wrong. We got a full refund and we hope to try again real soon. Thanks so much for your support. Wishing everyone in their process for a new baby!! :-)

    Happy New Year All
