What does your natural cycle look like?

Well, I have tried accupuncture a couple of times, decreasing the caffeine, can't shake the diet soda habbit, pineapple core after IUI, Maca suppliments, green tea, raspberry tea, and basal body temp charting. My husband and I have gone through a total of 5 iui attempts since July. We got pregnant on round three, but lost the baby two weeks later.
I have taken all of these months off mainly because of finances (insurance pays nothing), but also for the basal body temping. It has been two months so far and you can really tell when you ovulate. I want to make sure that my cycles are consistent before we try again. I would love to hear other's tips on what you are doing or what worked for you besides the usual accupuncture (can't afford that one).

I too...
- also tried IUI unmedicated 4 times
- took the past so many months off
- have insurance that laughs at me
I can't say anything worked for me as those tries were unsuccessful, not even the glimmer of hope turned disappointment you had.
I was NOT seeing a pattern as expected on basal body temps. I did have OV urine test strips which seemed to work well, and for several months before and through my trying I've been tracking my periods and when I got positive OV tests on mymonthlycylces.com
A midwife I saw recommended an extract called Vitex to regulate your cycles. I say this but then tell you to do your own research, ask your doctor, etc... and will note that on the back of the bottle it says to not use it when pregnant. So, if you're taking months off only? The nice thing on this is it is pretty inexpensive.
I'm really thinking it's time for me to talk to the midwife about using a trigger of some sort.

I did 4 unmedicated cycles, using ultrasounds and pee sticks to determine ovulation. I got pregnant on that fourth try but sadly lost the pregnancy at 7.5 weeks. I then tried 6 more medicated IUI cycles with no luck. I'm now on my first IVF round.

Hello all, may I first wish everyone the best of luck. I am new to the IUI. I just did my first one last Thursday and I am wondering if anyone out there has done two vials during there IUI Cycle. Currently my clinic only uses one per cycle the day after my LH surge. Any successful experience with one or any thoughts on if using two vials might be worth trying?

I've been using ClearBlue Easy fertility monitor, basal body temp, and then also OPK sticks right around the high fertility days (based on my monitor results). We're going to start IUI in about a month, and I'm not sure yet if it will be with one or two vials. I also haven't decided yet whether to try unmedicated first or to use meds. My BBT chart looks ok. It's sort of jagged but it does increase in temp after the peak days. I did try Vitex for a few months to see if that would help my cycle, but I felt like it delayed my period, so I got nervous about it and stopped taking it. Lots to consider.

I asked my doctor this very question yesterday. He has been doing IUI's with donor sperm for years and does not feel that using 2 vials increases your chances any. There are probably other doctors out there who feel differently, but it is worth asking the question.
