    dp2011,

Would you mind sharing your experience getting pregnant with your twins. I'm concerned about multiples (I wouldn't mind twins), but being a single mother i don't think i could handle more than twins! I'm curious what other women that got pregnant with twins did. Any info of age, any fertility issues, how many follicles when you got your BFP and what drugs you were taking.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi sine4me,

I was 38 when I concieved on my 4th IUI attempt. I was on clomid, 8% chance of multiples....imagine my shock when I had twins. I really thought that there would be no way....little did I know.

I really wondered if I could manage twins, especially being a single mother but I have proven that if you want something bad enough you will figure it out.

I have a wonderful support network, family and friends. Without them things would be much more difficult.

I think triples or more would be too much for me but I thought that about twins so just tell yourself...if you want it bad enough you will figure it out!!

Best of luck to you and if you want to chat more just let me know :D

    dp2011,

Thanks so much for the information, I appreciate it. Congratulations on your twins too!

I agree with you, if you want it bad enough you can handle any situation. Thanks for sharing!

I'm a single mom of twins. My sons just turned 2 and I have never looked back! I wanted twins from the beginning. Two embryo's went in and Marty & Myles came out. (IVF) Just like I ordered. Ha ha. I have a drama free life and my whole world circulates around them. That is how I make it work. I want to believe it is because of my attitude, plus they are just perfect in every way, my boys are always the center of attention during market runs. People are amazed how well behaved they are and sooo adorable. Not to mention handsome. ;) There personalities are 180 out on most anything, even down to breakfast. One loves the hashbrowns while the other the scrambled eggs and then there is the cheese omlete they both agree on. That is how it is with everything. They make a great team. The job discription for twin moms is being a good supervisor. They have their own world and Mom isn't required except to solve disputes. :D And to make that happen farely...I have a 4 camera security system around my homestead and a 32" tv monitoring from home central. (lol) I also believe in working smart not hard. Life is Good. And God is Great! The one thing I do regret is...I still yet have submitted their birth cirtificates with fairfax. yikes..I am such a procrastinator!

I want to add..I was just chatting with another member who told me about this thread and wanted me to share. I'm glad I did plus this I thought would also be a good opportunity to look for donot siblings. I have kind of given up but thought what the heck since we are talking about it., aye. I used 4105 if there are any other moms out there...please feel free to drop us a line. :)

Terri they are SO CUTE! Thank you for sharing photos. I will have to figure out how to do that. I will take your advice to heart. The thing I picked up on most is "Team" I really view that single moms and thier children are a "team" and together we can do anything.

I would love any other advice you might have!!!

Terri, you're boys are too cute! Thanks for sharing your information. It's nice to hear from other single mothers that multiples isn't an impossible feat.

Thanks for sharing from the 40 year old perspective. I'm 42 and will be doing a frozen transfer soon. I think the success rate and incidence of twins is increased, but I'll take whatever I'm blessed with!

    All the best!

So, you posted two years ago, I just joined today. I'm a single mother of boy/girl twins who turned 2 in November. It has been the craziest adventure of my life! How old are your girls?

I am a single mother to five month old fraternal twin girls. It is so hard finding mothers like myself. In fact I know no one like me. I know single moms. I know twin moms. But I don't know any SMBC moms of twins who used donor sperm. Such a unique situation. So glad I see there are others out there. Would love to connect with you all!

    Hi ladies,
My name is Christina in Washington DC. I have 2.5 year old twin boys. As a previous poster noted, not too many out there, though I know a couple in the DC area. Anyway, I am glad to see there are others out there in the same unique situation. Hats of to us single moms with twins!

Hi, I'm a single mom by choice to twin girls (3 months old) and a boy (3 years old). I had a c section both times and took care of my kids single-handedly as soon as I left the hospital. Where there's a will, there's a way. We're out here.

I have 4 yr old fraternal twin girls. I am lucky to say I have a lot of support and help from my family. The girls are my dream come true but it's a lot of work. Glad to see there are others on here in the same situation!
