4 follies, 2ww begins

Well, I had IUI #4 yesterday morning, and I have high hopes this round. The past 3 IUIs have only had one good follicle, but with the addition of injectables, we had 4 this round. *fingers crossed*
For the first time, my hubby was very positive about my IUI and was in good spirits at the dr. My normal dr was not on call, so a different dr, did the procedure. He was very nice, but completely freaked my hubby out by reminding him triplets and quadruplets are a possibility. Slim, but still a possibility. My hubby was sent into a panic by this, and I tried to reassure him this was very unlikely. We can't seem to get even one egg to fertilize, much less 4. ;)
That being said, the counts were MUCH better this round, and I am feeling very positive! A good friend of ours went into labor and had her baby 1/2 hr before my IUI, so I am hoping she spread some baby mojo my way. ;)

I had my 4th IUI last month, with 5 follicles and it worked!!! My Dr said higher order multiples are highly unlikely, but we have a 20% chance for twins. Guess we will just have to wait and see...GOOD luck to you! I wish you the best! :D

    Good luck!

Right before we went for our third IUI we visited a friend who's four year old asked his mom is my partner who was coming over had any kids (presumably so he could play with them), and she said, "no"... He said, "well I think she should".... AND WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT, right after that we got pregnant. AND, this is the second time this kid had an effect like that on one of her friends. Same thing happened just a few months before with another friend who had been trying for over a year. She should rent out that kid's mojo to fertility clinics! lol

I am so excited for you k&b! I know you must be going a little crazy on this last week of the 2ww. I am 5weeks today and in a state of shock that our IUI worked. Now I am waiting on that first sonogram to confirm that all is well. Baby dust! Baby dust!

Well...round four was a bust. I spent most of Friday (the day I started spotting) crying, but am doing better.
My dr. was pretty surprised it did not work, but optimistic that it will....eventually.
So, on to round 5. 5 is my "lucky number" so maybe it will bring luck this round. I had my follie scan in exam room 5 today...that's gotta be worth something. ;)

    k&b,

i'm so sorry it didn't work this time, but like you said, you have good luck with #5 and it sounds like you're off to a good start so far with it. I hope it works this time for you!!
