A "Hail Mary" pass and then IVF

Anne72Anne72 Senior Member Senior Member
Well, after 9 rounds of IUI, 3 medicated, and one miscarriage, I still am not pregnant. After this last round, I had two ovarian cysts. So I'm trying a new donor (4209, a brand new entrant into the bank) and an unmedicated cycle. I'm trying some herbs with my acupuncturist also. Hopefully this "Hail Mary" pass will work - hey my one BFP was on an unmedicated cycle. But if it doesn't, then I'm moving onto IVF. I'd start when AF arrives in mid-March and then probably do the retrieval sometime in late April.

Praying for a BFP. It's my turn!

    Anne,

When i saw this post i literally thought i made a post that i couldnt remember writing. We are on my i think 10th iui. I literally have lost count. I have 5 days left to find out if it work. The first week of april will be our egg retrieval and transfer IF this doesn't work. I have had most of the necessary testing completed to get approved for the cost share program at my clinic. I am scared and anxious about knowing if this cycle worked! If this is the route that we have to take i will keep you posted on what the process is like. I cant imagine it is MUCH different that what we are already doing. This is such a crazy journey and i am ready to get off the merry-go -round and just move on with my happily ever after.

    Charlotte,

It is OUR turn! My prayers for success go out to you. I have to believe that we will BOTH get our healthy babies. Like you, I'm ready for this ride to end. But I know it will be all worth it when we hold our bundles of joy

Best of luck and sticky baby dust!

    Hi ladies!
Well after a long break I'm back! I'm here to tell you that IVF is a totally different experience. Imagine ten times more stress and the rediculous roller coaster ride is intense!! I've posted my journey on the fertility treatment IVF forum. Good luck and feel free to contact me with any questions :-)

    Hi ladies,
I ahve been in the same boat and often reading your posts to keep my spirits up. Over 2 years I have had 9 failed iui's and am running out of money. In hindsight, I wish I had just started with IVF. But just filed my taxes yesterday and am getting enough back to try one cycle of IVF. I think I am going to wait till June, just to get through the most stressful time of year at work.
Lots of luck to you all. And THANK YOU for all you write.

Today was D-Day for this last hail mary. I was inseminated this morning. Fingers crossed!
