How many is too many?

My husband and I are in our first TWW of IUI with donor sperm! We had two mature follicles, one at 22 and one at 19. How many are preferred per cycle, and how many is considered overstimulation? Our cycle is with Femara tabs AND 6 days of Follistim injections. I was a little disappointed with my follicle count considering we went with injectables as well. I had tons of follicles, but at my last u/s (Friday before my Tuesday insemination) only 2 of them were nearing maturity. I had quite a few around 8-11. I'm interested to see what happens this cycle. My husband and I had previously tried IUI cycles with a different doctor and my husband's sperm and with only Clomid, I was getting 1-2 mature follicles each time. I guess I figured with the injectables added on, I would have a better shot. Not writing this one off, just a little discouraged. Thanks so much for any and all help!! Good luck to everyone!

Injectables will produce better quality follicles. That's the good news. My doctor will not even do an iui with more than 3 follicles.

Thank you very much! That makes me feel much more comfortable! Only 2dpiui so we will see!

I have 2 follicles but my doctor says they are too big and she doesn't want to use them
