We went in for our 8 week u/s yesterday and found that Baby B had no heartbeat. He/She measured 8w1d, so obviously it had just happened. We are heartbroken, and scared for Baby A. Our RE said that it was probably something genetic, and that it will have no impact on Baby A, but of course now I am scared. Originally we had planned on telling all our family/friends at 10 weeks, but we will wait to 12 now.
Does anyone have any experience with losing one twin, but the other making it full term?

    Oh my K&B, I'm so sorry!! Try not to worry to much as stress can obviously cause issues. Baby A will be just fine!

    My brother and his wife had this similar situation, but they didn't know it until my nephew was born and they saw the "remains" in the afterbirth. They didn't know she was pregnant (small blessing) with twins at the beginning and must have lost it early on as well. I've heard the term referred to as a phantom pregnancy.

    Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way for a safe and healthy pregnancy.

    K&B- I'm so sorry for your loss... I don't really have any experience with the situation that you're in, so I can't offer any words of encouragement, but I hope you'll accept my sincere condolences. I'll be thinking of you, your husband and Baby A and hope that everything continues just fine for the remainder of your pregnancy. {{BIG HUGS}}

    Thank you all...I am feeling better about everything, but will feel much better tomorrow after our ultrasound. I just can't way to hit that 12 week mark. I know its not magical, and there are always risks, but I will feel so much more confident in this pregnancy.

    Well, our ultrasound went well today. Baby measured right on target, 9w3d and heart rate was 176. She/He was moving around A LOT!!
    I am feeling much better. I officially move on to an OB, and my first appointment with her is next week! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, I could not have gotten through this week without them.
