Painful process

My partner and I are trying to get pregnant, she had her first IUI 2 weeks ago and today we found out she's not pregnant.
How many times does it take!!!??

the average number of iui' s 4-6 trie. It is the same as couples trying to conceive, it can take 4-6 months of trying before it works. It is not unusual for it to not work the first time. I know it is hard to understand, you think with how everything is monitored it should work each and every time. Just remember there is more at work here than just science, at least that is my thought. It worked on the fouth iui for me and I now have a beautiful baby boy. Keep the faith, imagine yourselves with a baby and it will happen, just have some patience.

I did 11 IUIs, including one miscarriage, and 2 IVFs before it worked for me. I'm now 7.5 weeks and praying that this one sticks! It can be a long bumpy road. The important thing is to remember why you are doing it and to take the time to enjoy other parts of your life. Otherwise it can consume you and drive you insane.

We were told by our doc to expect 5-6 months of trying, but were lucky and were faster than that. I love the idea of staying calm and positive having a positive effect on results, and it is surely better for your sanity, but if I'm honest - I was in a cranky awful negative mood the day of my IUI that took!
