Positive thoughts..prayer..and a lot of support...

I just wanted to update everybody as to what has been going on with me. My pregnancy was going really really smoothly until the anatomy scan. Our little boy was perfect and everything was measuring perfectly. I was exactly 18 weeks. Unfortunatly my cervix was another story. It was very short and so began the beginning of a scary road. We were originally told that we would have to switch to a group of high risk doctors. i was told in the ER by one of these doctors that i had a higher risk of miscarriage. WHAT miscarriage??? i had thought i was safe after making it to the safe zone of 12 weeks!>!>!>!>

At my next appointment i met with with worst doctor of all who seemed to have no idea of how to handle my situation. She gave me a 50-50 shot of making it to viability of 24 weeks. OMG. these were terrible odds.

OVer the last 6 weeks i have had probably 7 doctors appointments..most of which were really positive. My cervix has remained closed and my baby has remained healthy. I remember 6 weeks ago being forced out of the house by my mom and sister thinking i would never never make it to this day. I was convienced i would lloose my angel and i was sinking into a deep depression.

I am happy to report that lots of prayer..mainly positive thoughts tons and tons of support from family, friends and my girls on this forum have helped me to get to 24 weeks. I still hopefully have a long way to go before he is born. Bedrest isnt that fun but we are getting through.

today i will start to design my nursery because i now know my baby will be here before i know it. My christmas miracle has been through hell and back to get here to this point. but here we are

thank you to everybody who has said prayers for me or though of me in the last 6 months. it means the world to me.

Congrats Charlotte on making it to 24 weeks!! It sounds like you have a fighter in there Good luck on the remaining 16 weeks and lots of positive prayers to you and your baby!

Awesome news! God is good! Claim your Christmas miracle. I had no doubt that you and your little one would meet another milestone. Continue to think positive and surround yourself with supportive people. Happy to read your update keep them coming.

praying for you and that little one!! you are one strong lady!!! I know God is watching and will be there through it all. I will pray and pray and pray for you. TRY (i know eaiser said that done) but TRY to relax and continue to have that faith.
