Hi there ladies! It has been a couple of months since I have been on here...but am glad to see everyone's updates. To all the girls I started on this journey with, I am so glad to "see" you....and to the newcomers, hi!
Well, we are 27w3d today...baby girl is doing well. She moves A LOT. I have been in the hospital twice, but both times were for dehydration (a stomach bug that just would not quit) and both times she was doing great.
It seems that with this pregnancy, new fears have found their way into my heart, and I knew you girls were the only ones I could go to...
For those of you who have been successful with ds...How has your husband dealt with the "oh, she has your eyes!" type comments? I am terrified that my husband will cringe each time someone says something like that...or worse "she looks just like her mother, nothing like her father". We knew this would be a challenge going into this, it has just been on my mind more, the closer we get.
No one knows that we went the DS route, except for my parents and hubby's. I know that eventually, others will learn, because we plan on being honest with our child, but that is still a few years down the line.
I just want my husband to be at ease...to feel 100% like her father...I can not wait to meet our baby girl, and that is exactly what she is, ours. But I wish I had a window into the future, so I could know it was all going to be ok. I can not talk to hubby about this, because it just crushes him, I need him to feel that I am his rock, on just this one thing...as he has always been mine.
Thanks for listening ladies....love to you all
