IUI in January with donor 2984

Hi everyone,
I have been reading the posts for a few weeks now. I have learned so much.
I am 37 years old and over the past year I have been getting ready to be a single mother. I have my first IUI scheduled for January 2013. I am really excited. I know this is the best decision for me. However, I still find myself occasionally worrying about 1) the number of IUIs I'll need in order to get pregnant, could I afford them? 2) how do I know the donor I selected was completely honest about genetic issues in his family, will I have a healthy child?.
I tried to reach out to a few people who posted treads about this donor in another forum without success. I would really like to chat with anyone who has had a child with this donor. Does anyone else feel the fears I do?

I've had my first IUI today. The process was not as bad as I feared.
I have been on the forum long enough to understand that it takes about 4-6 tries, so I do not expect a magic bullet the first time.
The 2ww is here. Hopefully the side effects of the progesterone are not too bad. -
I conceived my son using 2984, he just turned one. He is a happy, healthy, and very smart little boy. Feel free to message me with any questions.

That is great. I have one more vial of this donor. I am on IUI#3 and decided to try another donor. I am so glad to hear a success story. How many tries did it take?

I got pregnant on my second IUI. Good luck!

Try not to stress it. I think being relaxed helps the body do what it does. Think positive!

Hi,
I have a wonderful daughter from 2984 and am anxiously looking for another vial to give her a sibling. It is no longer available to purchase at Fairfax. Do you have a vial in storage that you would be willing to sell? Please pm me if so. thanks! -
Hello all,
This is my first time on this forum. I also have a 19 month old boy with donor 2984 and would like to share views with other mothers.
How are you planning to announce it to your child when the time comes?
Many thanks. -
I have a 10 week old and would love to share views!

Hello, I have a 13 month old son from 2984, and would love to hear about and see pics from others who have used this donor. RosieG, I tried looking at the group you started for families that used 2984 but did not see any information on it. Is it active? Thanks!
