low beta #

My numbers are increasing but not as they want. Lower than they should be and they scheduled me early ultrasound. Does this mean miscarriage on the way?

What are they considering low?? It's all relative and some people metabolize HcG slower than others. Or your implantation could have been late. My first beta was under 50 and actually tripled in the appropriate timeframe but then it stayed the same and eventually dropped to where it started then down to zero. This was a chemical pregnancy which took about 7-14 days to resolve without any interventions. If I didn't get a faint BFP early I would have just thought AF showed up a couple of days early. If you're not having spotting which increases to period like bleeding your probably fine. Sending you lots of sticky baby dust!! Let us know how things are progressing.

They tested 3 days early 54,2days later 300 something, 2 days later 600 something, 2 days later 924 that was Friday. Dr called said that was low and she wanted me to go in for ultrasound sunday(tomorrow). I'm trying to prepare myself for the bad news. I took a preg test and its a bright pink line and a light line. It's never changed same color as the first test I took. I feel like the lighter line is a bad sign.

Those numbers sound very promising plus you don't have any bleeding. Hopefully you're on progesterone to support the pregnancy because you are preggo honey!!! Try not to take any more HPTs they aren't quantatative and will yield different/inconsistent results. It's the beta that count! Good luck tomorrow and try to remain hopeful! I have a good feeling about this :-)

Moe thanks so much! Yes I'm on progesterone suppositories twice a day until my fertility doc sets me free to see my reg ob I guess. I just worry because my beta isn't doubling like they want it means no sac which means a MC

If I remember correctly the gestational sac is seen once the beta is above 2000. My RE wouldn't even schedule an ultrasound until then...it was like a week or more which seemed like forever. Hang in there honey:-)

Hang in there...please don't jump into conclusion too early...the numbers are increasing...so this is count and it is a good thing...wait and see...
Take care,

So I went for my u/s Sunday and blood. 5 weeks along I think, didn't see anything beta is 1600. My fertility clinic tells me nothing! So frustrating. I have to go back this Friday for another u/s and blood work. What does this mean?

I think you're progressing nicely. It must be frustrating dealing with a clinic that doesn't seem very supportive. Your beta is going up and at 1600 you cannot expect to see a gestational sac. By Friday your beta should be well within range of seeing it. If your numbers were staying the same or decreasing THAT would be cause for concern and possibly a chemical pregnancy. That's not what I'm seeing based on the info you've provided. Again, everyone metabolizes the hCG hormone at different rates. Just because you're not following the "textbook" doesn't mean that the you don't have a sticky bean. YOU'RE PREGNANT :-) At some point fear needs to be replaced by FAITH. Believe that this blessing is meant to be and CLAIM it! Okay, sorry for the yelling but my hormones are getting the best of me.
Sending lots of baby dust and positive thoughts your way!
