When did you feel first movement?

Anne72Anne72 Senior Member Senior Member
For those of us lucky enough to have conceived, when did you feel the first movement from your baby? I'm now 18w1d and I know they say it is usually between 18-20 weeks. I haven't felt anything. Of course with being on bed rest and the bleeding, I'm anxious for any reassurance that I can find. I heard her heartbeat again yesterday and all is good. But I'd really love to feel her!

I know you want to feel those movements right away. Is your placenta anterior? That will delay you feeling those first movements. I didn't feel Maksim until 19 weeks. Be reassured by that heart beat! Even after feeling him I didn't feel him consistantly which gave me something else to worry about! Turns out he would kick into the fluid and 8 wouldn't feel it but he was moving more than I knew!

So even after those movements we still find reasons to freak out!

    Best wishes!

Yes, my placenta is anterior. Thanks for the well wishes. I just seem to have so many reasons to freak.

At least the bleeding has slowed. I would call it spotting rather than bleeding today!

I have an anterior placenta and just started to see and feel movements around week 23. When I've had something to eat there's movement within 30 min. Initially I felt what I thought was gas/spasms around 20-21 weeks but nothing consistent. Those were early movements...

I know crazy how we all thought getting pregnant was the hard part right!

Glad to hear the bleeding is almost gone! Here's to 9 months and a healthy baby!

Sending nothing but well wishes and positive thoughts!

Maksim looks into my eyes so deeply when we do our evening prayers..... know that you are part of our nightly ritual! All of you ladies are!

I will try to post a new pic from halloween my litte guy is going to have a green mohawk, well what is left of his hair! I swear each day he looks more and more like a balding old man!
