Anyone Had Any Luck With Donor 4174?

ktln77ktln77 Member Member
I see that he has reported pregnancies and he was on a waitlist (multiple times from what it sounds like on this forum), but has any children been actually born from using this donor? I'm confused because everyone seems quiet; I don't even see a private forum for him. I have started my IVF injections and I don't want to have done this all in vain... I don't know, something about pointing a needle at my own stomach just seemed wrong at first (now, I am getting used to it because I am keeping my eye on the prize - our baby, but if there are no births is this a waste of my time and money using him?).

I have not used this donor but I would not say it is in vain. There are not many people on the forum compared to the number of people that have actually bought the vials. There are not many people that still use the forum after they have their child. There are only a very small number of us who have children that frequent the forum often. If he has reported pregnancies I would see that as a great sign. Maybe once you get your bfp and hold your little one in your arms you can continue to post to give others support and help!

    Baby dust!

Good points Robin. Based on my review of the posts for the donor I selected, once someone becomes pregnant they no longer posted on the forum.
I understand ktln concerns, but you have to trust your decision. Also hopefully you will check in after you get your bfp to alleviate someone else's concerns.

Hi - Yes, I used 4174. My daughter was born in September. Came on here to find siblings, but not having much luck of people coming back on after the babies are born, as posted above.

    Hi, Hadsmomma.

Congratulations on your baby girl! Unfortunately, I used another donor and I am 4 wks 5 dys pregnant with him so I am not going to be much help in finding siblings. Have you registered on the private forum for your donor? Fairfax has private forums for people who have successfully used a certain donor and you might be able to connect with other parents and siblings there. To join, you have to click on the "Private Forums by Donor Number / Sibling Registry".

    Good luck in your search.

I hope to do an IVF cycle soon with Donor 4174. I see there is a waitlist for this donor. I'm concerned the waitlist may not clear up in time. Any suggestions? Does anyone have extra vials stored at Fairfax that they will not be using? Thank you!!!

Does anyone have extra vials stored at Fairfax for donor 4174 that they are willing to sell? I have a limited number and my RE suggests that I will need additional vials for future IVF cycles. I can accept IUI, ICI, or IVF. Thank you so much, and feel free to reach out to me by this thread or through private message.

Also, if any other folks out there have had positive or challenging experiences, pregnancies, births or children with donor 4174, I would very much appreciate hearing from you! Thanks!
