Total Motile Cells low for 1st IUI

I had my first IUI today after 7 months of problems with blood work and cysts. It took those 7 months but my RE told me that everything lined up perfectly this month. I had 2 follicles 18mm and one 15mm follicle the day of the trigger. My Estradiol was 762. The timing was also perfect. However, once they thawed the sperm my RE wasn't real happy with the results. The count was 10mil and the motility was 35%. From my research I learned that means 3.5 million swimmers. When I think about having 3 eggs and 3.5 million swimmers and it only takes one of each that still sounds pretty good. But my RE really made it sound like it wasn't optimal. From reading other forums it sounds like most people have had TMC of 10mil or more, not 10mil before the motility. I'm hoping that after 7 months of trying to line things up that the sperm quality doesn't mess up my cycle I've worked so hard to get. I'm trying to stay positive! Does anyone have any success stories with a 3.5 million (give or take) TMC?

I think you are interupting the results wrong. 10 million with 35% motility is not that bad. I think doctors would like to see a higher motility number. It is my understanding that the motility part has to do with movement / speed of the sperm and not the actual quantity of sperm. The first number gives you the quantity which was 10 million. Most sperm banks have a guarantee on the count, but not the motility. For instance Fairfax's is 10 million.
