Where do you even begin??

My partner and I are terrified... How do you even begin to narrow it down? We had a known donor and we are scared about the legal complications of that... but sitting at a computer with all of these strange profiles is so overwhelming. How did you decide? Any advice??

For me, it was prioritising what I wanted from a donor.

1 - health history was #1 for me. I wanted someone who did not have any history of conditions that were in my family and had a good family history. He also had to be CMV neg since I am

2 - I wanted him to look like my family (I'm a single mom by choice)

3 - I had to like his essay and voice sample

Hi aquebedeaux....my partner & I narrowed our search down to #1 a donor who resembles me since I did not carry our first baby, #2 baby photo with lifetime photos, #3 Personal Profile was very important because you get a sense of what he is like and the background of family. It is very overwhelming but I suggest going to the basic search and filter out what you want exactly in eye, hair, ethnic background, etc. We knew exactly who we wanted as soon as we bought the Baby photo with the Lifetime photos!
