my story and last chance!

last chancelast chance Junior Member Junior Member
Hello all

So i guess I will tell you a little about me.. I am 25 and diagnosed with pcos. I have Irregular / non existent periods unless on provera. My wife and I started our journey ttc by selecting a donor which we found one on fairfax. We are currently working with cny fertility in ny. Our first iui was a bfn: had cycle with 100mg clomid and , hcg trigger (pregnyl), and 8% crinone three days after iui. It was terribly hurtful when we found out that we were down and out in cycle 1. I only matured one follicle and thought I'd have a chance because our donor had good numbers. I and my wife decided we would wait it out until I received my period.... A few days later it showed up and we began our next cycle. This second cycle is our last chance... So the dr suggested injectables . I said I would do anything for the chance to be a mom. I was then told I was responding well to the gonal f 75u, and the lupron 5cc. I continued taking the injections and lowered gonal f to 37.5 then triggered pregnyl before day of iui.
On the day of my iui I was told I have 6 mature follicles..at risk for multiples. At that point I was in shock and super excited because it would increase my chances even more to become a mom... I am currently in my tww and hoping this time will be it! My sister just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl yesterday and when I held her in my arms I knew I really cant wait to be a mom. this has gotta be it! Please pray for me and if you have success stories please respond ! Good luck to all trying to conceive!

Good luck! Why is this your last chance? You are quite young and if it is finances you have plenty of time to save up to try again.

Not to scare you, but it took me 11 IUIs and 2 IVF cycles to have my beautiful little girl. She is 7 weeks now and I love being a mom. If this is truly your dream, don't give up!

Take a few years to save up again and maybe move onto IVF rather than spending hard earned money on IUI.

I hope this one works but don't give up if it is a true dream. You can also look into adoption. Feel free to PM me if that is the route you go. My 13th time was my last chance and I did tons of adoption research

Thank you for your reply wow you have definitely been through a lot! I am hoping this time will work... Yes the finances are something I'm definitely trying to work with and being as its all out of pocket it's not a likely option to go ahead with another cycle of iui. If I don't get pregnant this time I'm thinking there's gotta be something wrong with me. I thank you again and wish you the best :)

So this is your full story. I replied on your other post. Heck yeah with 6 maybe 5 mature follicles that is excellent. I hope at least one of those little guys sticks this time. Anne is absoulety right most people it takes more than a couple tries to get that positive. But not everyone gets such good follicle stimulation during their cycles either. I hope your age is working in your favor. Here's to happy positive thoughts during your tww.

Congratulations! I go Thursday for my ultrasound to see how I respond to clomid and then my appt is set-up for the IUI! My husband and I have put all this in God's hands, so I know no matter what, it's meant to be that way! We too are short of finances so hoping for success. I love hearing good news as yours. Please keep us up-to-date :)

Well I am officially 7w5d today and having one baby due on jan 29, 2014! I am super excited!! I saw the baby's heartbeat a week ago and it was at 127. I have been having morning sickness since almost 6 weeks. I was terrified because I was bleeding for a while and ended up in an emergency room scared half to death but all is well an the dr said that it was probably implantation bleeding. I haven't bled for about 4 days which makes me feel a lot better. I am super excited and a lot of emotions are running thru me now. If you have any questions please feel free to MSG me it keeps my mind occupied from things other than my nausea. Good luck to all of you ttc!!!
