This our second iui, and we go for our blood test on the 20th. I'm hoping we are mommies soon!

I just replied to your other post- but we are two mommies too! Neat thing is we are in contact with one of the families that used our same donor who also is a two mommy family. It seems there are a number of us out there. We opted for the IUI and did not do a trigger shot or clomid- just as natural as we could. We would consider using the drugs, but not until after we tried for six months. Thankfully it only took three months. Feel free to drop a line if you have any questions :)

My partner and I had our first visit with our reproductive endocronologist. My first visit consisted of an internal ultrasound to measure my uterus and turns out I'm very healthy looking in that general area. We want to try a natural IUI to lower the risks of having twins. Our doctor suggested using two vials of sperm during each cycle( but this is very costly cause we need to buy double to amount for a future sibling). My next test is an HSG test to make sure my tubes are cleared and a blood test...then we are ready for our first IUI!!! We plan on trying in October if not def November. What are your ideas with either using one or two vials of sperm per cycle?

We have been trying for about a year now. We are just starting our 1st IVF cycle tomorrow. Good luck.

hi candace0108...do you mind sharing your age? I am curious since you are starting out with a natural IUI. My doctor started me out on fertility medication on the first IUI. I am 38. It was not a success. My doctor also wanted me to only use 1 vial since the timing was based on the LH surge (I test at home around noon) I will be having another IUI next month.

Hello All, My wife and I just ordered our vials and hope to do a IUI very soon. I'm 38 and my fertility doctor was happy to tell me all signs are positive for a successful process. I'm nervous but excited.

Hi All! My wife and I are just days away from having our twins! We are scheduled for an induction this coming Sunday, although she could start labor anytime. Very exciting! We're having a girl and a boy, and I can hardly wait to meet them! Our journey to our family was difficult at times, but so worth the time, expense, and emotion. Our first pregnancy came on the 4th IUI attempt. Sadly, it ended up in a miscarriage. We were devastated, but committed to moving forward when it was safe to do so. While waiting, we learned that our chosen donor had a rare condition, and his sperm should no longer be used. We had to start a new donor search, and felt fortunate that we found another donor that we liked. After 3 more IUI attempts, we got a BFP. 6 weeks later we learned it was twins! It was quite a shock at first, but now I can't imagine it any other way. Good luck to everyone!

My girlfriend and I are currently in our 2WW. We used donor 2474. This is our first attempt at a natural IUI. We decided along with the doctor that we would use no medication. I am 25 and she is 34.

Hi everyone! My partner (she's 23) and I (I'm 24 and carried him) had a son last October via IUI. It took us two tries before he came into our lives. Just curious, have any of you found any other two-mommy families in your areas? Also good luck to everyone.

We are two moms. Well, mom and mum actually :) We used donor 4183. Our daughter was born on 4/26/13. We tried for a sibling but we never had a second pregnancy. I got pregnant first try of an IUI with donor 4183. We kept one vial and eventually decided for a second child. We tried IUI and had no pregnancy. Then we tried IUI twice with another donor due to 4183 no longer participating. Then we tried IUI with fertility three more times with no pregnanccy. We should have done IVF after second try of IUI. I just saw that California has a place that does three IVF's for $12000 with a 90% success rate. I am 41 now and our daughter will be four in April so not sure if we will do that or not. We are currently trying to adopt through DSS.
