Hi,

Has anyone experienced a BFN when testing early, but had a BFP a few days later? This result was heartbreaking. Not sure if I should spare my emotions and just wait for AF, or do I hang onto hope and test again in a few days?

I also want to take a moment and thank all of you who post for your anonymous support, it really means alot during this hard and lonely process!

Baby dust and hope to all! Thank you kindly :)

I tested on day 10 and got a negative and got a positive on day 12. I knew day 10 was early and didn't plan to test that soon but the 2ww just kills me and I couldn't resist. Then I was mad at myself for even testing. Anyway...I did get a positive on day 12. I hope that gives you a little hope and I wish you the best!

This is such a difficult journey with so many ups and downs. I hope you get that positive in a couple of days!

I had bfn day 11 and then bfp day 13...mine ended up being ectopic. But don't think that's usually the case. Are they going to do blood work to test your levels? That will tell you if it's good...

    Becky and JP,
Thank you for your support. Becky, congrats on your BFP! JP, I hope you get another BFP soon, baby dust to you!

My AF arrived on schedule, so there was no need to retest. I must say though, this was one of the most painful menses I ever remember having. I will ask my doctor about the irony of a painful menses after an IUI cycle.

Once AF arrived, I was able to reset my emotions and get ready for a fresh start. It was like the new cycle represented another chance rather than a failed attempt. So I am ready to move on.

Baby dust and happy memories to all!

Start of your cycle while you are hoping for a BFP can be pretty depressing. It is excellent you are keeping a positive mindset. I wish I could say it gets easier with each try because it really doesn't. You just learn how better to manage your emotions. If you are not already charting your temperatures I highly recommend it. You can tell your about to start your cycle a day before it happens.

    Hi,

Thank you for the words of support! Did you chart your oral temperature or your basil temp?

I was very sad, but surprised how I recovered quickly once the new cycle began. If everything goes to plan, I should start another 2ww towards the end of the week. I am looking forward to it of course, a daring optimism perhaps.

Any tips/home remedies to increase my chances ladies?

    Baby dust to all!

My 2ww is actually 17 days...my RE told me to POAS on Aug 7th, which was 17 dpo...anyone else told a longer wait time? It seems everyone else is told they can test at 13?
