Experiences For Sibling Attempts?

Hello everyone,

My partner and I are going to begin the process to start for a sibling for our amazing son. We are curious what others experiences were with these attempts. Did it take longer? Or was it easier since you and your dr's have already been though it once? Any information you are willing to share would be awesome!

Just in case it matters, we tried for about a year with only two actual inseminations. There were a few "dead" cycles in between attempts, but after our second IUI we were blessed with our son! Also, I am losing weight and am much healthier this go around than last.

Please share stories because I am having trouble finding any information on sibling attempts.

hey there!! my husband and i are wanting to go for the sibling attempt as well! My son turned a year in May and we have one more vial in storage and are visiting our fertility dr in two weeks to see what a good plan would be. I am so nervous and eager as well and a little sad actually. Only because it took us 3 IUI's to get the BFP. so with one vial left, i am nervous!! hehe.. i feel liek this vial is GOLDEN. ha! but either way my husband says that if it doesn't work with this IUI, then we'll just order another vial. my concern is more with my fertlity coverage from my insurance.

when are you planning on going for the iui? I need to get healthy too it seems. Maybe that will help out! eeeeeek. best of luck to you. and keep us posted!!!!
