We have our first appointment with our RE in 2 weeks and have no idea what to expect on our first visit. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and plan to carry our first child- besides the routine bloodwork and obtaining a really good medical history-should I expect to be examined, get a sonogram....what?

You should expect the lengthy history the bloodwork yes and for other tests to be scheduled. If you happen to be having a visit from aunt flo the day of your appointment than you may have an ultrasound otherwise they will ask you to call to scheduke all of the other diagnostic tests when aunt flo arrives. This is the only doc that welcomes aunt flo and actually wants you to come in when she is happening. So it depends on when aunt flo will visit as to when things will proceed. Hope this helps and good luck! After the first appointment and then after all the tests you have consult and they tell you what to expect. Monthly expect ultraounds at least twice and sometimes more. You really get to know the doc and staff I loved my re ver down to earth and point blank. I now have a year old son to thank him and the donor for! I only have one ovary was 37 and had a low ovarian reserve. I got pregnant with just one follicle so even with some issues it can happen just believe it will and have faith! It took me 8 months and 4 iuis for it to happen definitely worth the wait!
