I'm not sure what's going on, but for my successful iui I had an iui done on the day with the positive opk and I went in again the next day for another iui. I just suggested to someone else to try this after she had three iui..cycles with no luck and she got a positvehpt a week ago after her first try with back to back iuis. When I got my positive opk it was on day 11 and I usually got positives on day 15, so I was confused at the time and sure the test had detected a false surge, but turns out the test was right! Because I got pregnant. Just keep doing what you're doing. Do the opks, and when you get the smiley just try a cycle of back to back days, see if you have more luck that way.
So sorry things are taking so long and that your body isn't being consistent, I can only imagine how frustrated you're feeling right now :-\ Hang in there! -
I highly recommend the Clearblue easy monitor with the test strips. It is more expensive, but it is extremely accurate. We did a natural cycle IUI, and definitely wouldn't have gotten pregnant if it wasn't for this kit. I went in for my iUI the day after I reached my "peak" fertility according to the monitor, and that seemed to work best. Good luck to you! The process is long and frustrating!

I felt much more confident when my RE used a trigger shot on the day my kit turned positive. She did an u/s to confirm I had a mature follicle, gave me the trigger, then I had one IUI 24 hours later. My RE also believes in a single well timed IUI over back to backs. Best of luck to you, stay positive!

Yes I did. I also took a baby aspirin from the start of the cycle to help thicken the uterine wall.

Hi dreamsabc, good to have you back. I wish you all the best with your next IUI. I am waiting to start my IVF cycle at the end of August/early September. I am scared but excited. I was pretty crushed after my last IUI, so I have a counselor to keep me on track;).
Please keep us posted. -
I got pregnant during our third month of trying. The first two months we had back to back IUIs and the third month I had only one IUI, and that is the month that worked. When we try for our next baby we are only going to do one IUI a month instead of two. Best of luck to you!
