It depends on insurance and how your doctor codes things. Because we own a business we pay everything out of pocket. We have other friends that only had to pay for the sperm. Just to give you an idea in case you pay for some or all out of pocket our initial visit with the infertility specialist was $300 then we had to have initial blood work and exam which was about $1200 total with lab fees. After that was our first cycle in which we had to have an internal ultrasound to track her cycle and follicles that was $270 (we had to have it done twice 2 days apart) the insemination itself cost $330 plus the sperm. We then did a progesterone blood test which was $50 and now waiting for pregnancy test (this is our second cycle). The initial visits are expensive but worth making sure everything is ready to go. Hope this helps!!! And hope I didn't scare you lol! We have twin girls that I carried and my wife is hopefully pregnant with our 3rd .... Blood test on Tuesday!

I am curious to as how much it cost. I'm thinking of doing it alone, a single mother.

My girlfriend and I just did a natural cycle IUI. We have been super lucky and only paid maybe 5 copays. Your best bet is to schedule an appointment with a doctor your insurance participates with and go from there. They have people at the doctors office who deals directly with that and they will better be able to answer your questions correctly. We couldn't have felt better with all the financial guidance we received.
