I'm 33 and just had my first IUI today. I'm calling it my practice run so I can mentally be prepared for the bfn. First time up so I know the chances. Still hard to wait!! I had 5 mature follies, but not sure about sample's quality...not something I talked about with my Dr., just didn't occur to me to ask but everyone here seems to know theirs. Feeling like such a newbie!

wishing you tons of baby dust!!!

Good luck!!!! I'm 32 and will have my first IUI this week. Just waiting.... It's the hardest part!!!
-
Thanks guys!! I know, the wait is horrible! But, I bought 3 vials...partly because I knew if I only bought one then it would never take (Murphy's Law). Here's hoping for baby dust to you too Melissa!

Thanks!!!! Only a couple more days and then the real wait starts lol!!

Hi.I am pregnant with a boy from 4538 we were 4 and a half months now we did it on the first try
Before starting the process I read everything I could about it and the chances of getting pregnant on the first try but I ignored that and chose to think that it was going to happen I imagined myself pregnant I stayed very positive never thinking negative I believe that and God were the keys to our success .Stay strong and positive no matter what ...Baby dust

Thanks iag, and congrats!! I'm definitely staying positive and already thinking I'm pregnant to try and trick my body into compliance
haha. I'm 6 days post iui, and trying to not count down the days, and not think about the wait is a little easier said than done...but I'm staying busy which helps!!

BFN with AF...double whammy this morning. At least cycle # 2 officially starts same day as bad news, so I don't have too long to wait before attempt #2 ( the one I am convinced will work...my body just needed that practice run...)
Here's hoping August is my lucky month! -
Hi DLP:
I also had my first IUI today, and will have another one tomorrow. Then I'm going overseas the day after. This alone is keeping my pleasantly distracted, as I'm also packing and focusing on all the things that need to be done before traveling.
Of course I'm very anxious, though. I know it's very unlikely for the first IUI to succeed, but I'm still hopeful. Good luck to you, me and all the beautiful ladies in a similar situation out there. -
DLP I got a bfn from my first IUI as well
. Having number 2 sometime next week:). Hoping for better results
. Good luck to you too

Good luck DLP! I am in my 2ww also. I have 1 week to go before I know. I hope you have lots of plans to stay busy for these longest 2 weeks ever.

Alright people! Two questions... what does BFN stand for and AF?
My partner and I have a 3 1/2 year old already from our first medicated IUI (first try period) with piggy back inseminations(my partner carried) NOW, I am in my 2 WW (going nuts currently) unmedicated first IUI attempt (single insemination). We switched clinics and this is a much different albeit better experience that our previous clinic we used.
Trying not to go crazy here wondering... but I can't help it! 4 days in... DLP, how did your 2nd IUI go? Blkern23 good news? -
Hi POT03005,
AF is "Aunt Flo" = start of your period.
Bfn is big fat negative, as in pregnancy test. Don't worry, the boards get less confusing the more you read.
I have not had any success yet. I just finished my iui #4 just over 2 weeks ago, supposed to poas (pee on a stick) tomorrow, but good ole' AF came today to spare me that part. I switched donors and meds this go around so was really hoping #4 was my lucky one. Now I'm mentally prepping myself for #5. I'm single and have no children yet, and trying very hard to stay positive through this experience...but it hasn't been easy.
I've been wanting to read success stories though, so I hope at the e nd of your 2ww you have one!! And please let us know the outcome!
