Natural IUI successes?!?

mcaldivermcaldiver Junior Member Junior Member
My husband and I are doing our first iui this month. Because it is my husband that has the fertility issues, we are going the natural iui route (no drugs). Anyone had success doing a natural iui? All my tests came back normal and it seems I have no issues. I ovulate every month and my dr says I "ovulate strong." This whole process is so overwhelming.

Yes. We went the natural route and got pregnant on the third month with using the one IUI method. Our little girl is 13 months now and we hope to try again for a sibling. We are using the same method. Timing is crucial. It is easy to get anxious and go when it is too soon. For us it worked if I could time it so I went the first day I got a "peak" reading on the fertility monitor, but everyone is different. Best of luck to you!

Yes, you are in the same situation as me and my husband. I got pregnant with my first iui attempt. I went in back to back days. Day #1 when I got the positive ovulation test and then again the next day. I also had testing done because when we first started trying for a baby and weren't successful I assumed it was all my fault. But I am completely healthy and young so I think that all helped the first attempt succeed. Our baby boy is due in just over 3 weeks! Good luck and try to relax and think positive!

I had my second IUI at the beginning of October. I have not had luck yet and I feel like this time didn't take also. I am 36 years old and have had an HSG which was normal. The only thing the dr found wrong with me was I have a small tumor on my pituitary gland that was causing elevated prolactin levels, so now I have to take meds to keep the levels low. My dr told me after the third time if the IUI doesn't take she wants to do a laparoscopy because of my history of endometriosis and adhesions. I feel very frustrated when it doesn't take. I wish everyone the best of luck.

Thanks Ladies! Just had my first round and we are keeping our fingers crossed. It is always good to hear success stories.

I did too! I had a total of 5 IUIs and got pregnant on the third, fourth and fifth times. I lost the first two pregnancies, but just had my daughter 2 months ago (they were random and unrelated to each other, according to tests). No meds and I'm 41 now. Also all my tests came back normal. I had the IUIs on the first day of ovulation, just one per cycle. Good luck!!
