Donor 4991

I just received donor 4991 and was wondering if anyone has also purchased and/or had any success or failures?

Think he is a relatively new donor so I think we will see an increase in people who use this donor here shortly. I had the IUI on the 1st of April so I will test on the 15th! I am nervous and excited all at the same time.

Please keep me updated. What is crazy is I was about to give up because I could not find a donor that stood out. I searched one last time and he popped up and I was hooked. I am living vicariously in you in this experience. I can't wait to hear what happens. And we are doing this 2 weeks apart also.

Hello! I recently purchased iui vials from donor 4991. I am hoping to start iui soon. I have a doctors appt coming up to go over more bloodwork results, and am keeping my fingers crossed that he will give me the go ahead to finally start. Good luck to both of you and I will keep you posted if I have any luck!

Starting June 1 with 4991 - agreed he definitely fit the bill with education, disposition, and overall looks. My partner and I are both going to try, although a few months apart. Best of luck to you!

I'm in the same process - have my blood tests and HSG testing this week and then will start with IUI treatments at the beginning of June with donor 4991.

That's great Chissy123 and mrccjf. My first cycle failed however the donor had wonderful counts. His post wash count was 21 million for me which was 45% motility rate..I don't have any known fertility issues so hopefully it will work the next time around. My wife and I are headed to Hawaii tomorrow and I will be there during ovulation week so we will try again at the end of May most likely...positive baby vibes for all of you! This is an exciting journey to be one. Please don't hesitate reaching out if you have any questions or just need to vent. You can e mail me at [Please use private message to share email].

Good News!!! The test was positive!!! I will make an appointment in the morning to confirm. Now I just need to make it through these next few weeks with healthy outcomes.

That's great news! Good luck with your journey :)

That is Great! I'm so happy to hear that. It definitely gives me hope. I should be starting injections next week and then the iui. I will let you know the outcome.

Hey Chissy123 how was your appointment on Monday? I should be starting Clomid again in 2-3 weeks....
  • Chissy123Chissy123 Junior Member Junior Member
My appt went ok. I had known before that my FSH level was higher than they would like (10.1) but by AMH was good. He originally wanted to try a natural IUI but now wants me to do injectibles. Clomid was an option as well if I wanted but he thinks this would be best. I should be starting my new cycle on Sunday so on day 3 will go in for more bloodwork, an ultrasound and then they will instruct me on the injectibles and hopefully the IUI will happen the week after!!

Hi taball! I saw you said the test was positive but the donors page still says no confirmed pregnancies. How did your doctors appointment go?
  • A&DHarterA&DHarter Member Member
That's great! Good luck with everything!

Hey everyone! Excited to see so many of you trying 4991 and sharing experiences! I am in 2ww and should know by this weekend! Good luck to you all! :)

Hey ctoup good luck! Let us know! So exciting. Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way!

Enb... so sorry to hear. :-(

Hi, everyone! Wow, lots of people since my last visit! Exciting. I submitted the pregnancy to Fairfax. I am not sure what their protocol is about showing the positive pregnancies on his page. I saw it was not there yet yesterday. Maybe they wait until birth because I have to fill another form out when the baby is born. I have my first ultrasound on Monday. I cannot wait. I am sorry Enb123 about the lost. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago with an ex, and I am doing this one by myself. I have been paranoid because I want to make it through these next 2 months. I will keep you updated on the ultrasound on Monday! I wish I can post a picture if everything goes well! Good luck to the rest of you on your test, IUI, etc.!

Thank you taball. I'm so excited to hear that it worked for you. I'm sitting this cycle out but I'm hoping for a positive again in June.

Thank you A&DHarter! Same to you and will keep you posted! Congrats taball! GL on your ultrasound! Excited for you! -Caitlin

After my bloodwork I found that my TSH levels were high (5.05 ng/mL). I went and had my thyroid tested and my T3 levels were low (51 ng/mL) which indicates hypothyroidism. I started Levothyroxine which is synthetic thyroid hormone and will be retested in 8 weeks to make sure that my levels have stabilized. So it looks like I will be postponing my IUI start date. Disappointing to say the least, but would much rather start when the odds are in my favor. Good luck to everyone who is starting sooner :)!

Yes, make yourself healthy before you put that baby inside you!!! It will happen! And you don't have to rush what is meant to be.

  • ctoupctoup Junior Member Junior Member
Thank you!!! And yay for you!!! Seeing the heart beat for the first time is the best! So happy for you that everything is going well! :)

I have sent the report of the pregnancy to Fairfax and they put it in his file for those who wanted to know. I have my 8-week appointment the week after next.

congrats taball and ctoup!!! I used this donor as well and am nearing the end of the 2ww. I was only able to use this ART IUI, it had a total of 3.2 million motile sperm, so I'm slightly concerned that was too low. Did either of you use the ART vial?
