Ah. I read it wrong. Just means I'll think good thoughts all week. :-)

Not sure if anyone still follows this post, but I wanted to check in. We are 12 weeks and 3 days today, and all seems to be going great. We have another US tomorrow and we will find out the gender in just 2 Sundays. It's really crazy how fast it goes.

Anyone else starting soon with this donor?

Hi Katie! I'm so glad you keep us posted with your status. Wow! You're already 12 weeks. Time flies so fast. As for me,my egg retreival was canceled because I only had 4 mature eggs after injecting myself for two weeks! My doctor said I should start over with a higher dose to get more eggs so I am waiting until the end of May. So the $3000 i spent on medication was a trial and error cycle. So frustrating! I am trying to stay positive and focus on the future but the waiting is killing me. And not mention IVF is so expensive. You are a lucky girl:-)

I do count my blessings every day. I see how hard it is for most of the people on the site I frequent and know that am lucky. That's frustrating about the "trial and error" cycle, but now you know and will be able to proceed forward with more knowledge! Good luck to you.

Yes thank you for the good news about this donor Katie. I had switched donors and had 2 more unsuccessful attempts using Chlomid. My doctor just switched me to injectibles this month. The cost was not as much as I was expected, got by with low dosages. I'm scheduled to have my IUI on Friday. Out of all my attempts this month is the first month my left side has the dominate follicle. I had multiple follicles, but only one has taken charge while the others are barely growing. They decided to stim me so the dominate doesn't over mature. After I read your post I decided to switch back to this donor. I'm hoping for luck this month and no miscarriages. If it fails I had already decided to do one more round of injectibles and then 1 try at IVF if it comes to that. Congratulations on your baby news.

I wanted to give you ladies some hope. Donor 2762 as well as my wife and I are expecting a son this Tuesday April 16. My wife's pregnancy has been great without too much morning sickness and no complications. he's currently about 6 1/2 pounds and we are very excited and nervous regarding the actual birth. It took about three vials using iui before it caught. :-)

Congrats to all the new Mommies on this thread! It's so exciting to come here and see all the progress.

We just passed 19 weeks and are doing well. . . .we do know we are having a baby girl! We found out Monday and have been busily going through hand-me-downs and started to wash and get things put away.

Has any one joined the private blog for those of us expecting, or who have delivered, from this donor?

    Hi Katie,
Congrats on your pregnancy. Did you get the lifetime pictures of donor 2762? Does it comes with pics of him as an adult?...I was using a diferent donor but it hasn't worked and I am now considering trying this donor.
  • SuperKSuperK Junior Member Junior Member
Yes. The lifetime pictures come with a series of photos.

Everything is going well for us. We are just about 24 weeks along and haven't had any major problems. Just did our second "20 weeks ultrasound" (bc she was hiding her face at the 18 week mark), and everything looks great.

Good luck with your next cycle!

Thank y'all so much for posting all of this great info. We have now decided at the last minute to switch to this donor (we were down to two donors but 2762 looks so much like me as a child) after reading all of the posts. Background (and I'm sure TMI): I had taken a 2 1/2 year break from the process after 8 failed IUIs and a miscarriage on my last attempt that coincided with a surprise end to my last marriage. I am currently engaged to an amazing woman and while we are planning our wedding we decided not to wait any longer to start trying to start our family. Tomorrow we are purchasing two vials and hoping for the best and if no luck then we are going to start saving for IVF.

Thank y'all for posting so much and keeping the conversation going- y'all alone swayed us which hopefully is a sign. Can someone tell me what his post thaw numbers were? I think someone said 80 million at 60% but that seems SO high (the other two donors who I've used were always between 10-14 million).... Also- we haven't purchased the lifetime photos yet but were wondering if he still looks similar to his childhood photo? Thank you for all of your amazing input!

I wanted to give an update that we are 13 weeks and due at the end of Feb! The IUI in June that I posted about worked! So far everything is going well and looks good according to the Drs. Hope everyone is doing well!

Congrats Kayla! We chose 2762 because his heritage is the exact same as my husbands. To me he looks like Ryan Philippe! we went through one round of IUI with no luck. Going for my second round this month! Happy to hear of pregnancies. Does anyone post pictures here?

Sue and Jodi-Congrats! My partner and I are going to start using this donor. We were using a donor from Cali cryo, but after three failed IUI's, have decided to go with our original choice of donor. Did you happen to use Clomid? I have not started Clomid yet, but think after three failed IUI's, I would try low dose Clomid for our 4th time.
  • Cindi and AnnieCindi and Annie Junior Member Junior Member
Congratulations! We just ordered Donor 2762. He was our first choice, however, we went with our 2nd choice for three tries of IUI. All negative. Hoping 2762 will work. I think I will be starting low dose Clomid for our 4th try at IUI.

Thanks Cindi and Annie. Sorry about your failed tries, it can be a roller coaster. Rykyrr, our son that was just born from 2762 was our second and he was actually conceived on the first attempt with no fertility drugs. However, we went through quite the roller coaster to get our first son Ashyrr. There is a thread in here called Sad Sad Story and it lays out our ttc roller coaster if you are interested. We didn't use clomid, however, we did use a fertility drug called femara (letrozole - generic). We chose that drug because it doesn't have lingering effects for the baby. Good luck and I wish you the best of luck on you ttc journey. It will be well worth it in the end. :)

My husband and I did our first IUI with donor 2762 on Friday (3/7) with monitoring and an HSG trigger. We are both very nervous, yet hopeful it will work. My test date is the Monday the 24th and I'm not sure if I can manage not knowing. I am expected to get my period on the Saturday the 22nd ... is it taboo to take a HPT?

Sue and Jodi, Did you use the same donor for Ashyrr?
  • Sue & JodiSue & Jodi Member Member
cindi and annie - no we used a different donor for Ashyrr.

Hello, wanted you all to know that I delivered a healthy baby girl on March 9, 2014 from donor 2762! 7.5lbs 19.5in. She is gorgeous! I did have placenta previa though and had to deliver by C-section! She was conceived on my second attempt with this donor (clomid and ovidrel). I had 7 unsuccessful attempts with other donors.
