Mrccjf - how many were fertilized? We may need to go the IVF, FET route after a few rounds of IUI and we purchased this donor. He had really good motility for our first iui (24 prewashed, 12mill postwash) and I'm currently 9 days past IUI. Crossing fingers and toes- but know it is not guaranteed. Interested to see how PGS testing went for you?

In the end, I (37) had 3/5 embryos come back (12 retrieved, 8 mature, 6 fertilized) as PGS normal and my wife (34) had 0/4 embryos back normal (12 retrieved, 12 mature, 10 fertilized) - devastating. However, speaking with my doctor, she seems skeptical that my wife's results are correct. She said that embryos can sometimes "self-correct" and that because they are tested so early, that she questions whether they are in fact accurate. So now we are in a conundrum.

    HI everyone,
Thanks for the wishes. I went in last Tuesday for a routine check up and was told to immediately go to the hospital. My fluid was completely gone. Unprepared thinking I had a couple more days, reality set in. I had no bags and was kinda of scared. I was admitted and they started to induce. Unfortunately little one did not like the potocin and HR went down. So they tried me doing it myself. My contractions were better for him but not strong enough to dilate. So they induce 4 more times thinking it will help and it didn't. Then they tried adding amniotic fluid to see if that will help his HR. It didn't So after 26 hours, they made the decision to do a c section. The fibroid was causing havoc on my cervix opening. 30 minutes later Nathan was born on January 3rd. We are home now adjusting to everything. Its been tough and exciting! Thanks for the support and I wish the best to the rest of you with this donor. I can tell you that he has strong genes because I see no resemblance of me and my mom doesn't see it either. He is all donor 4991. A little cutie. Once you all get added to the sibling FB page you will see all the pictures. Go Luck to you all and please reach out to me if you have questions on the experience.

Thanks :) The embryo thawed well and the transfer went on w/out a hitch. Now I will wait to see if she decides to attach and join this duo.

She? Were they able to test for gender? I'm so excited for you!!!! Good luck to you and your wife. I will be doing my retrieval March-April timeframe which takes me to June for a transfer date. Seems like a lifetime away.

We opted in to the PGS testing to try and rule out abnormal embryos - as a result we know the sex of the three embryos (1 female and 2 males).

I really hope this works out for you two! Its has been a long road. And a girl will be awesome to add to all the boys. They need a little sister!!!

Thanks taball! Would love to add a girl to the mix, but feel fortunate that I have two boys in the dugout if this isn’t our one. In the meantime, I talk to that embryo all day to let her know she’s welcome :)

How did your first transfer go? I’m aiming for an endometrial scratch and a natural cycle next time since my first didn’t take.

In less than 2 weeks will be starting my meds for my IVF using donor 4991. Retrieval will be mid-april and I think transfer in June. If all goes well in the coming months I will have 1 vial available if anyone is interested. Just putting out the feelers.

    Wish me luck, 4991 family!

Best of luck! Sending you my positive vibes! I will start IVF process soon as well, tried a couple of IUIs but did not work out. If you do not mind, could you please keep me posted if and when you'll decide to sell your vial?

Mrccjf, any news on your new IVF? Hope it went well!

    Best,
