Littlepete - Thinking of you! I'm hoping the bed rest is going well and you are just breathing and relaxing through the TWW. It's tough but gotta believe that this one will work

Moe - Fingers crossed for good results with the genetic testing. How many weeks are you now?

Me, I had my 9 week u/s today (well really 8w4d) and Little Bit is growing well. We could see him/her wiggling around. Little arms and legs are starting to grow. Wow, so amazing. There is still a little blood in my uterus but the doctor is not really concerned. I haven't had any spotting for 5 days and he says that I may or may not see a little more. I'm still belching like a champion and tend to get nauseous in the evenings but am doing well. I'm still loving my naps! Thank god I work from home.

Anne - your post brought a huge smile to my face...sooo glad to hear bambino is growing! And that the blood is lessening!!

    Enjoy those naps!!!
  • moewhit25moewhit25 Senior Member Senior Member
Yay Anne!!! I'm thrilled to read about your little bit growing and that the spotting has stopped. You are well on your way!!! Try to enjoy each moment and each chance that you get to peek. Are you still going to the RE or have you started going to the OB? I felt so rushed with my OB and really missed my RE at first. I've had the opportunity to see my LO a couple of times since starting at my OB. I have a feeling the next appt will only be a doppler :-( Then at the 20 week appt I'll get another peek. BTW, today I'm 14 weeks 2 days. So I'm on to the second trimester! You'll be here before you know it! Stay positive and faithful... When is your next scan?

You're lucky you can work from home. I don't think I would get anything done....LOL

My follow up genetic test results will be back in about 10 days. I'm hopeful and have a positive outlook.

Littlepete, how's the TWW? When is your beta scheduled?? Hope you're keeping busy and that the time is flying by!

Well, I'm just back from yoga and need to sleep:-)

Well, I graduated from my RE today! I cried during the u/s since Little Bit was wiggling up a storm. I got to see little arms, legs, even fingers and the beginnings of a face. No more blood in my uterus! Woot!

My next appt is with my OB on Tuesday. The RE said to be sure to have an ultrasound btwn 11-13 weeks to look at the neck, they can detect lots of Down's cases that way. Praying for a healthy baby. I will hopefully be cleared to travel to NYC in mid-September for a business trip that I need to make.

Hope everyone is well. Sticky healthy baby dust to all!

I am so so glad all of you are doing well and your little one's are hangin' in there! Such a fun and exciting time for you all.

Wish I had good news but no negative. This was my last chance and think I'm out now. Not sure what the plan is from here--can't think too much right now. Trying to stay focused on the fact that I can start running and doing hot yoga again and feel normal...not having to stop every time my ovaries are swollen! I will keep checking in to see how all of you are doing.
  • sine4mesine4me Senior Member Senior Member
Anne, Congrats!!! That is great news!

Littlepete, i'm so sorry. My heart and prayers go out to you.
  • Anne72Anne72 Senior Member Senior Member
Littlepete, I am so very sorry. My prayers are with you. If you do decide that you want to look into adoption, please feel free to give me a PM. When this was my last chance, I was also moving forward with my plan B. I did an absolute ton of research on everything from adopting via social services to international to private US adoption. While the laws are different in each state (I'm in CA) I can give you lots of hints and what you should be considering and asking. I also know a good national agency that was my pick if this hadn't worked out.

Best of luck in whatever you decide to do and enjoy that hot yoga and eating what you want. HUGS.

Littlepete, I'm so sorry that this has been a difficult journey. I know how frustrating and heartbreaking this all can be. Is your plan B in action yet? That backup plan always made me feel somewhat better. I think it's wonderful that Anne can share all of her info about adoption with you because I think that could get overwhelming to start from square one....why reinvent the wheel?! Please keep us all updated on how you're doing. Sending you lots of well wishes and positive thoughts.

Anne, congrats on graduating to your OB!!! Just an FYI that when you do your screening to look at the nasal bone and the amount of fluid behind the neck (NT screen) they will also do a bloodtest. Based on your age alone it will most likely show a false positive. Have you given any thought to if you want to do the invasive tests like CVS or amino? Be sure to ask about the Maternati21 bloodtest that's almost as accurate (97%) as amino results.

    Good luck on Tuesday!

Littlepete, sorry to hear the news but Moe and Anne are right, you've got to have a plan B. I have plan A, B & C right now and I call my determination my plan D! I hope you will find your way to motherhood. I know you're not done because you said "This was my last chance and think I'm out now"-if you were done you would have worded that differently. Take some time to collect your thoughts and decide how you want to move forward. We're all here if you want to send a PM for support.

Anne, so glad to read about your progress and good news! Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Moe, glad you're well on your way. Keep us updated

I should be doing a frozen transfer sometime in Sept so cross your fingers and say your prayers for me! I only have one embryo (5 day blast) but I know it only takes one so that's what I'm focusing on!

Well, it's finally getting closer. I start the process for my first IVF next month and head to NY in 44 days! I'm getting very excited and looking forward to spending some time in "real" fall weather! :)
  • Anne72Anne72 Senior Member Senior Member
Best of luck! I really hope it works for you the first time. Enjoy the city. If you want any hints about the city, PM me. I'm from there originally.

I'm actually headed to NYC for 8-16 Sept myself. Just hoping I can find someone to lift my bag into the overhead for me. Have to take it easy but I do have permission from the OB. I work remote and this will be the first time in 2 years that I'm seeing my boss face to face. Going to be giving her the big news on Monday since I'll be 12 weeks, a little early, but I want to do it face to face rather than over the phone. Wish me luck!
  • sine4mesine4me Senior Member Senior Member
Thanks Anne, that would be great, I'll PM you for sure. This is my first time to that part of NY and my mom is coming with me. We'll both want something to occupy our time there :)

Good luck on your trip too! Just have the flight attendants help you out, that's what they're there for :)

Anne I'm praying for you and your sticky bean! Have a safe journey to NYC. I'm from Bklyn and need to get back for a visit. I sooooo miss home but don't miss the crazy pace and how fast money spends there! What part are you from? Sine4me congrats on getting closer to getting your sticky bean. I know you're getting more excited as time gets closer. Stay positive, its going to happen for you just like it did for all of us! Just stay the course and try not to get knocked down by the speedbumps that we've all encountered.

I'm doing fine just dealing with pregnancy hormones and getting easily irritated. Need to step back from situations and EXHALE.. Anyway, I'm plugging along at 17w3d. and still haven't gained a pound BUT my regular clothes, aside from work scrubs don't fit. I clearly have a baby bump this week! Thankfully, a friend of mine gave me two bags of brand new maternity clothes so I'm set through the Fall and Winter seasons. She has a 6 month old and will be handing down all her stuff like her swing, basinette, tub, etc. God is GOOD!!

I will have my anatomy scan on Sept 24 which cannot come quick enough...but again NO Peeking! I still think I'm having a boy despite the high heartrate. Many of my friends' have said that heartrate prediction didn't work for them especially the ones that had a boy then a girl. Their rates were essentially the same. I think the rate has more to do with mom's metabolism....mine has always been very fast which has kept me tall and skinny well into my 40's. Can't stop eating!!! LOL.

Just wanted to check in with everyone! Hope all is well and lets hear some updates :-)

    All the best!

Hello Friends - It has been some time since my last post and I just wanted to update you all with what's been happening with me over the last several weeks. I completed my final IUI round on August 26-27, and the results were a BFN! Womp, womp womp! Needless to say I was disappointed. It's hard to describe what I feel because I always tried to remain cautiously optimistic. Perhaps I wasn't "positive" enough. I dunno. It's just crazy because I keep thinking back to how I was able to get pregnant so quickly. And even with all of the IUI attempts I've had, I've always produced a decent amount of follicles. I guess that they weren't the babies I was supposed to have.

All is not lost though, as I am moving on to the IVF Train, LOL. One thing that I have learned from being a part of this forum is not to waste to much time with IUI's. So, I talked to my RE and he agreed, and I have my orientation appointment on September 26th. I can't believe that this self-proclaimed needle phobe is about to position herself to be a human pin cushion. However, if this is what it takes for me to get my sunshine, then this is what I will do.

I am flat out excited for all of you who have made it over the conception hump and currently in the carrying phase. You really give hope to those of us who are still trying.

Peace and blessings to you all and I will keep you posted with my updates.

Welcome back Pauline!!!! I'm so glad that you decided to move forward with your plan to be a mommy!! Claim your blessing and it will happen!! The IVF train has plenty of room and we are all here to help you on what can be quite a RIDE!! Please feel free to ask lots of questions. Keep the updates coming and remember to breathe :-) Wishing you peace and lots of sticky baby dust!!

Best of luck with the IVF. It is a crazy ride but it has had positive results for many of us.

I just got back from a great trip to NYC. I told my boss and her boss that I am pregnant. Everyone was so excited and happy for me. But of course, I got a cold on the plane there. By Wednesday I sounded like Froggie and totally stuffy nose and nasty cough. Being sick and not being able to take meds suck. But my boss was awesome and I went back to the hotel early most days to sleep some extra. Getting better, cough is lessening and I can start to breathe again. Fun (not!).

Did brunch with NYC friends on Saturday and a couple were laughing at how my breasts have grown. I'm a whopping E cup now! And I'm only 13 weeks!

I have the genetic counselling appt and ultrasound this afternoon. Nervous but trying to stay positive.
  • Anne72Anne72 Senior Member Senior Member
Well the NT ultrasound went well. We saw a nasal bone and the fluid behind the neck was 1.24 (they want less than 3.5). They took a ton of blood and I should have the Harmony 21 (same as Materniti21) results back in 8-10 days. But I'm breathing a little easier.

I heard the heartbeat for the first time, WOW! A strong and steady 161 beats per minute

Congrats honey!! I really thought that you were getting to hear your little one's heartbeat with your follow up ultrasounds. That's so awesome that you were able to hear it today. You must be over the moon!!! I was so surprised when I first heard the heartbeat...I couldn't believe it. I wanted to hear it every week...which of course didn't happen. Enjoy your good news.

Got the Fragile X and Harmony21 results yesterday afternoon. Everything is good! Yay! One less thing to stress about. My next appointment with the OB is this afternoon.

Does anyone else have an occasional pressure/ache in their lower right ab/pelvic zone. I'm guessing it's just stretching of my body but will be asking the doc. I really hope that I'm not one of those freaking out pregnant ladies! :)

    Anne,
Congrats on your test results...woo-hoo!! Round Ligament pains are what you're describing. The ligaments supporting your pelvis/uterus are stretching to accomodate the growth. I've had groin twinges from time to time...Now that my intestines have officially taken up residence one foot above where they normally are, I feel crazy pressure bending to tie my shoe. Have to sit down now. As of yesterday, I gained 2 pounds....which is a chore for someone with the metabolism of a fruit fly! Feel like I'm eating/snacking every two/three hours. Won't complain anymore....there could be worse things right?

Be sure to let us know how your OB appt went. How many weeks are you now??

How's everyone doing on their fertility/pregnancy paths?? Let's hear some updates ladies :-) Be well and be encouraged!!

    All the best!
    Moe

Yep, the doctor said that they are round ligament pains. Not awful but not real pleasant either. I get them when I roll over at night, waking me up more than I want. Oh joy, they say we won't sleep for the next 18 years anyway :)

The doctor appt went great. I gained 5 lbs in the last month. She wants me walking a lot. The heartbeat was strong and my blood pressure perfect (120/62). I'm a full 14 weeks and feeling great.
  • sine4mesine4me Senior Member Senior Member
Congrats Moe and Anne, great news for both of you!

I leave in 25 days to begin the IVF journey. on Oct 15th, I begin estrace for the estrogen priming. Praying this is the one that works!
  • Anne72Anne72 Senior Member Senior Member
Well, I spent last night at the emergency room. I'm having another hemorrhage. The u/s shows the baby is ok and has a strong heartbeat. No placenta previa. So that's good. I'm back on bedrest and praying hard. We are hoping that it resolves itself. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
  • sine4mesine4me Senior Member Senior Member
Oh Anne, glad to hear that the baby is still doing good and the heartbeat is strong! Sending prayers your way! Try to relax and enjoy the bedrest, lots of crossword puzzles, books, movies, anything to help pass the time :)
  • moewhit25moewhit25 Senior Member Senior Member
Anne, I will continue to pray for your strength and your sticky bean. You certainly have a fighter. I hope that you come up with a name that reflects your little ones fighting spirit and perserverance. You have gone through so much and you deserve this blessing. Make the best of bedrest, get organized and envision bringing your bundle of joy home with you in March! Replace fear with FAITH :-)
Sine4me....let the countdown begin!! Congrats to getting closer to jumping aboard and getting things started!!
    Continued sticky baby dust....
