you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray for all of you when I am feeding Maksim, so there will be lots of prayers going up this weekend as he feeds a lot when it is just from mommy! I agree with Moe, envision coming home with your little one. I am so happy that the test results came back positive, now lets just get rid of those bleeds!
hugs and positive thoughts!
Robin
Anne you will get through this I promise. God will n
Anne God will not let you down. You have come much too far. I know it's scary but you have to believe. Pregnancy is not always smooth sailing and I know we all to expect it to be after all of our fertility struggles. I promise u it's all worth it once u get to hold ur miracle in your arms. The worrying never goes away. I just worry about different things now like if he is breathing and tolerating his feeding and how much the nicu says his poop weighs. Hehe. Bedrest sucks. You and I both know this. But believe me bedrest at home is simple cOmpared to bedrest in the hospital like I did for a good part of September. If u need to vent shoot me a private message. I get what ur going thru. But u will make it.
How is everybody else? Miss u ladies
Xoxo
Charlotte
so glad to hear that everything is going well. I continue to pray for you and your little guy. How much did he weigh and how big was he? Crazy how once they are here the other things that we worry about! I hope he is pooping the right amount each time! I hope you get to hold him, do you? Sing a song to him for me!
Maksim was holding his head to the right, in fact he favored the right for everything, you should see how much bigger my left breast is because he likes to lay on his right side to feed! now that I use the football hold with the right breast he feeds longer on it so it has caught up a little but I think you can still see a difference! Well when he went to the docs for a goopy eye my mom asked about his neck and she said, maybe that is just Maksim we will just wait and see, I was not ok with that and happened to get an email from baby center that day and it said 25 things to talk to the doc about. Of course it had things about the neck on it. I was going to the doc armed with the printed info for the next week at his 3 month appointment. My mom had a chiropractor appointment and took Maksim with her she asked the doc to check Maksim and guess what he had two vertabrae out of place. he did an adjustment that day and he started to move his neck better that day! We went back for the next three days and then 3 days the following week. We now go once a week and were told today I get to come back in two weeks. Maksim turns his head to the left all the time now, its like he sees a whole new world! all the doc does is press on his neck, its like he is getting a massage! I am so glad my mom asked the doc to check him and now I am not worried about his neck any more! who would have thought to take a baby to a chiropractor? They said it could have happened while he was being born, who knows but it is almost all better now!
Good luck to all of you!
Prayers are bring sent up for all of you!

I'm doing ok. Had several friends bring me meals and my mom arrived last night. I'm in bed for at least two weeks. I'm doing ok. I'm lucky in that I work from home so will be able to keep working from bed. Just praying that I'm not on bed rest for the next 6 months. But I'm praying every day to go to term and have a healthy baby.
Wow, Charlotte!! Congratulations. We are all eagerly awaiting an update on info like name, birthdate, birth experience, weight etc. Of course you must be so consumed with everything and it's probably difficult to get online, so no worries. Just know we are all sending positive thoughts and continued prayers to you and your new LO.
All the best!
Moe
Anne, you are truly blessed and it sounds like you have wonderful friends and an awesome mom. I wish I could work from home but that's impossible as a physical therapist. We don't even have modified duty so if I ever had any issues I would have to be out without pay. That's a very scary thought. I just continue to have faith that I'll make it to Feb without any issues. So how are you feeling? Will you be going for weekly check ups? I had another peek at my LO yesterday for the continuation of my anatomy scan. Thankfully everything is where it should be and my cervix is twice as long as it should be. Don't know how that will factor in when it's game time?! My plan is to work up until I go into labor or a couple of days before I get induced if that's something that the doctor feels is necessary. My doc said that she won't let me go past my due date due to my age. Apparently, things get somewhat risky after 39 weeks. I have no idea what to expect but will be starting a 4 week childbirth class next month.
Well, I hope that everyone is doing good no matter where you are on your journey.
Moe
After a year long hiatus, I'm back!!! And I've decided to move forward with IVF...it's so encouraging to read up on all of you and hear so many of you are pregnant or had your babies!!!! Congratulations to all of you. It gives me hope!!! Thank you. Wish me luck and I'll keep you all posted!
Glad to have you back Maria! Best of luck with IVF. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
So my update, I'm bleeding again slightly but it appears to be old blood. But damn is it ever concerning and stress-inducing. I'm still on bed rest and trying to breathe and stay calm. Praying a ton. I have a call into my OB.
Maria!! So happy that you're back and have moved forward on the IVF path. As you see quite a bit has happened in the past several months. Has it really been a year for you?? It can't be!! Anyway, I'm plugging along and just past the halfway mark of my 40 weeks. I feel great except when I see other women due around the same time as me, my bump looks so pitiful. I guess I'm going to be one of those women that carrys small and then probably the last month look like a toothpick with a grape stuck on the front! I am feeling more "flutters" this week which kind of feels like when you get a muscle twitch in your leg or butt...LOL!
Anyway, certainly keep us all posted on your progress. Feel free to ask any questions, as someone on this forum has likely experienced it. Good luck and stay encouraged!!
Moe
I have a high res ultrasound on the 18th. May even be able to find out the sex.
But it looks like I'll be on bed rest for at least another month and likely the rest of the pregnancy. Just praying for the bleeding to stop but more importantly for Little Bit to continue to grow and go full term.
The baby is healthy and growing well. Since I'm just 17 weeks they want me back in a month to confirm everything but I'm feeling happier.
And, we are 90% sure it's a girl. She was a little shy and kept her knees up most of the time but we did get a few peeks. :-)
Charlotte so glad to hear your baby boy was born! Congrats!
Maria! We started together with the same donor! So glad to hear your trying IVF! Good luck!
So glad to hear the anatomy scan went well! Congrats on the girl! so thats a boy for me and a boy for Charlotte, a girl for you, moe maybe its a girl to even the numbers out?
Maria glad to see you back, good luck same to you jl2011!
baby dust to all!

My next appt is 5 Nov and then another anatomy scan on the 15th since my last one was early and they want to double check some things.
Now I'm just waiting to feel her first movement. I'm 18w1d and really want to feel her!
It's been a while since I've been in touch, so I wanted to let you all know where I am in the world of IVF.
I had my IVF Orientation at the end of September and it went very well. Took my Mom with me and I think for the first time she really understand how serious this whole process is, especially when the discussion about the medications and injections came up. She understands how much of a needle phobe I am and asked me, "Are you sure you want to go through all of this?" I responded to her without hesitation "Yes, I'm sure". She responded by saying that I have her full support and that she is even willing to help me with the injections. Love her.
The thing I'm trying to navigate now is the costs of the medications. I am very blessed in that the actual IVF procedure is covered by my medical insurance, however many of the medications are not. I can't say that I didn't have a heads up about that because I had been following this discussion as well as many other discussions in the family forum. I've been researching online pharmacies as well as other specialty pharmacies to find the most reasonable costs. One of my co-workers was actually going through an IVF cycle and gave me the meds she no longer needed. My RE's office has told me they sometimes get donations of medications. I also know that some women have made transactions on this forum for the leftover meds they are no longer using. I figure I have not because I asked not so I will be making my request known to all of you☺ So, if any of you would like to part with any of the following medications let me know: Gonal F (900), Microdose Lupron, Menopur, HCG/Novaril, Progesterone in Oil, Crinone.
I go for my injection training on November 12th. I don't have to start with BCP's. Depending on how my cycle falls, I will either be starting in December or January. I still have to follow up with my Hematologist. I have a condition called von Willebrands disease and my RE wants to make sure that it's okay for me to proceed with IVF. Have any of you had any experience with this disease and being pregnant, or know anyone that has?
Anne and Moe I am glad that you two are moving along during your pregnancies. You guys should be half way there right?
Maria, we haven’t officially met but it seems we may be starting out on the IVF train together. How are you making out with your process?
Char, congratulations on the birth of your little one. Can’t wait to hear about all of the details of his arrival.
Peace and Blessings to all of you,
Pauline
Glad that you have the support of your mom...The injections are a challenge but can be done. Remember I was the one that had to give two shots in the butt during the summer storm when my power was out for days. I did it by the light of my Iphone. So anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Just think of the outcome! That's now a distant memory.
Hope your screening go well. I don't have any info/experience with von Willebrands disease. Anyway, please keep us all updated on your progress.
Lots of baby dust!
Moe
So, I am starting a round of IVF. I am new to all this and I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there that could give me some advice (and possibly some encouragement along with maybe a cycle buddy?). I started my Lupron injections about 4 days ago and it was tough at first. The idea of putting a needle in my stomach was enough to freak me out and I nearly had a nervous breakdown... I don't know why. I went through Army Basic Training and I had to deal with facing many of my fears such as heights, the gas chamber, and getting shots in both arms simeoultaneously by needle guns and yet the thought of injecting myself in the stomach made me scared? Anyways, I finally did it and the first dose of Lupron really seemed to affect me. Within the first hour, my knees were in pain, I felt weak in my legs and fatigued the next day, I had crazy dreams that night, a weird period like crampy feeling with vaginal contractions, and I had mood swings (one minute yelling at my hubby, next minute I'm so sorry I'm being a b*cth I love you <cry>). I have to admit though that the symptoms seem to be subsiding and now I just seem to have sore breasts and I don't have as many mean moments. I'm not sure if I will ever get over giving myself injections. I am not as bad as I was that first day, but I am still nervous each time. Well, I know I will never be a junkie. I know I have many more injections to give myself as time goes on. I was wondering how does anyone else prep themselves before an injection? Also, is it normal for some of the medicine to leak out after withdrawing the needle? It happened to me twice now and I am thinking maybe it is because I am using the same injection site and I should be using another each time. My nurse told me I could use the same site but now I am wondering. Thanks for listening.
Ktin - I switched injection sites around my stomach daily since I was bruising severely. A litany amount of leakage from the needle is normal. I, personally, had zero issues with injecting myself in the stomach. I found it rather easy since I knew it was for a great reason. I was lucky enough that my mom was able to help with the progesterone shots in my rear-end once I was actually pregnant. But one time she did hit a blodd vessel and the spurt of blood made me pass out. We had a good laugh over that. I also had zero side effects from all the shots so I can't give you any help there, sorry. All I can say is best of luck and remember why you are doing all this!
Well, I'm 9 days into my IVF process. I've been on 375mg doses of the gonal-f and just started the cetritide on Wednesday. I go back in again on Monday, but they think that the retrieval will be on Wednesday. If so, then the transfer will be Saturday or Monday. So far everything is going good, but i've really started to feel the pressure in my abdomen today. I assume that's normal. I know that with the IUI's, I really started to have pressure and aching close to the time i did the trigger shot and IUI itself. This is just happening earlier, probably due to the much larger doses of gonal and the increasing size of follicles...but wanted to ask if that's what any of you have experienced as well?
I had my appt this morning and it looks like Wednesday or Thursday will be the ER day. They'll call with my labs if it needs to be moved up to Wednesday, but otherwise it's Thursday. They should be able to get 10+ eggs at the ER, i can't wait! I'm very positive this time around, i know they're going to be great eggs!
Fingers crossed and prayers headed your way.
My update: I hit 20 weeks yesterday and had a good appt. I'm off strict bedrest but still on limited activity. I'm allowed to walk to the corner and back once a day and eventually around the block. Still working from bed during the day. But even more exciting, I'm allowed to shower every day. Once a week showers was rough!
I'm a little nervous about my BP. It is up to 120/80. That is the highest I've ever had. Going to be watching it.
But on a good note, I really felt LittlemBit for the first time last night. So cool! Next appt is ultrasound on 15 Nov
Sine4me, how are you feeling?? How was your ER?? I'm sure you were probably feeling very bloated over the past few days. I hope that you are resting comfortably. Try to drink lots of Gatorade and salty foods like pickles/chips/olives. Helps with the bloat and OHSS. Please give us an update!!!
Anne, congrats on progressing off of strict bedrest. God is good and answers prayers!!! Stay strong and listen to your body...don't overdue it please. Glad you feel your LO moving. My LO moves after I eat as if it's saying thanks. Also if my pants are too tight he/she is poking at my belly button as if to make some space. I can press lightly and get a poke back now....very strange but cool..
I have a special 3D/4D ultrasound scheduled on Saturday. For about $150 a technician brings her equipment to my house and I get to lay on my couch while she projects the images on my HD TV. Plus she gives me a CD of the video and pictures.....how cool is that!!! I will have a few girlfriends over to witness the event. I told the technician, that the gender is a surprise so I hope it stays that way and I don't inadvertently see "something" during the scan.
Hope that everyone is well!
Lots of baby dust to all!!
Moe
Anne, congrats on lightened bed rest and getting to feel your little one!
Moe, that sounds awesome, i'll have to look into that myself.
Thanks again and continued good luck to everyone!
