It is always crazy starting something new and not knowing what to expect
My doc was very happy and said everything was looking good
How are you!
CHEERS!
charlotte
Congrats on all those follicles, and here's hoping the timing works out as you would like it to.
Hope the side effects are not brutal and you are surrounded by people who understand why you are laughing and crying at the same time! Hang in there...
How are your blood levels doing? Estrogen ok?
~Regan
Wishing everyone lots of baby dust!
well i am super excited to report my second round of ultrasound results. Dont mind me.. i am literally floating on cloud 9 today.
One of my favorite nurses called me around 2 pm ( was starting to get antsy because i usually get the results around 1230ish) but it was well worth the wait.
my estrogen and lining in her words not mine were perfect. she also said that i have a total of 17 follicles measuring over 12 so far. They are going to bring me back on sunday for what they think will be my last ultrasound before my retrevial which they believe will most likely be on tuesday. woow wowowowowowo i literally went into today thinking.. please god just let me have 10. funny how you ask and you shall receive.
i cant believe i went from 7-17 in two days. Moe you were totally right.. thanks for talking me off the ledge the other night. have i mentioned lately how happy i am that you are back. I cant wait to see what happens in the next two days. it is such a miracle and i am feeling so blessed to have made it this far without a mental breakdown.
Good luck ladies. i just feel in my bones that this is all worth it for every one of us. lets all just band together and root each other all in the next few months of miracles.
Happy Friday!!
Charlotte
Charlotte, woohoo!!!! I'm so happy to hear that your follies are moving forward and progressing nicely. I know you are thrilled . That's the thing about the IVF train, once you get on board it moves at a steady pace. It feels so much better than all that IUI business. Personally, I felt very hopeful through the whole process because of the frequent monitoring and updates. I'm really thilled that we have all found eachother and continue to be a wonderful source of support and comfort.
I'm wishing everyone well and continued strength on this challenging journey. We will all receive our bundles of joy!! Be encouraged and it will happen.
Moe
Great response! I am so happy for you! I am hoping and praying for that christmas miracle for you!
Moe, regan and anne, hoping things are progressing for all of you as well! I can't wait for the day we are all sharing our pregnancy journey with each other!
Sorry I have been a little mia my schedule has been very brutal recently! I can't wait till next week then I actually get more than one day off! I will actually get 3 days off! I won't know what to do with myself! So its official I have gestational diabetes. I went in today to have the 3 hour test and didn't have to drink the glucose bcmy fasting blood sugar was higher than normal. So I will probably be speaking with a dietician and maksim won't be getting that vanilla ice cream he likes so much! I know its manageable but disappointing all the same. How is it that I couls stick a shot in my belly no problem but I am squemish about pricking my finger!?
I know this is the ivf forum but just wanted to post an update!
Sending tons of babydust to all of you!

Good luck everyone! Lots of sticky baby dust for a healthy full-term pregnancy for each of us
Anne good luck with the meds. I had some bloating, somewhat moody, and my eating was out of control...couldn't get enough sweets.
Regan how are you doing honey?? Hope that you are in good spirits. Let us know what's going on...
Charlotte, day one is ER so Thursday is day three and Saturday is day five. My doc called me daily with fertility reports. When I got to day 3 there were still so many follies to choose from that they felt it would be better to transfer the best blasts on day 5. They also froze the 4 best blasts on day 6 when they were almost hatching. That means when I do the frozen transfer in May, I've already clocked almost a week and it's possible to get an earlier BFP on the HPT.
Well ladies, I'm off to yoga class now.
Lots of baby dust to all!!
Moe
Well I am headed into the doctor fOr my ER
I can't believe this day is here already. It's crazy how fast life goes
I'm humbly asking all of you to say some prayers fr me. I'm feeling a bit nervous,
Catch you all on the flip side
Xoxo
Charlotte
Prayers headed your way! Hoping for lots of HIGH quality healthy eggs!
And Robin, a big boo for sugar levels! How often are you having to test daily? I just used a really great meter on a patient that he said was nearly painless (17 year old male with diabetes, so he's picky and would know!)
Hope everyone hears some good news this week (and in May, I didn't forget your little snowbabies, Moe!)!
I'm still taking DHEA, up to 75mg a day on most days I can remember to get the third dose in, and it's not so bad this time. I think I'm more centered (which is a day by day assessment, let me tell you - of course, then again, I don't have to, you all KNOW)! I start acupuncture tomorrow, and am excited about that.
I guess I'm all go for this next cycle, perhaps the end of the month, to try again. I've had some other health problems, and it was *almost* nice to worry about something else for a change. I keep thinking it's because I'm overweight, but this shortness of breath is most likely related to "primary pulmonary hypertension", which I refuse to look up more information on until I have more tests next week. It might be nice to focus more on that than worry about not being able to conceive, and then when I'm not paying attention, the IVF will work! On the positive side, and perhaps why I'm not overly concerned, is that he said to go ahead with IVF, so if it is a heart problem, it can't be that serious!
I'll definitely "drop in" to let you ladies know how acupuncture went, and scour the board for good news! Look forward in hopping back on the train for a ride in a few weeks. Baby dust.. and good wishes!
~Regan
Hope you are feeling ok, and have time to post, soon!
I wanted to stop by and tell you all I lied. A big fibber, am I! The DHEA is kicking my butt. Totally irritated and irrational! Grumpy and miserable. I think it just took a few weeks to build up in my system. But I'm going to stick it out, and wait until I have this next cycle of IVF, if there are improved follicles, then I guess this is just something I'll have to deal with. I've been up all night, last night was pretty bad, I called in to work and then spent most of the night crying and trying to fight with my other half.
Going for a walk with a friend who has a 9 week old lab, what puppy kisses couldn't cure, I don't know! Then to acupuncture, so it's going to be a good day! If I don't have to rest after acupuncture, then I'm going to clean my car, before I take a nap and go to work tonight. I'd like to have fish and broccoli for dinner (I could eat that every night), but the other half made some ziti, so it's yum, yum cheese!
Have a great day, and thank you ladies once again for listening (reading).
~Regan
Miracles do happen if you just believe!!
i am feeling good. just can't wait to hear more good news tomorrow and then more with each passing day.
thanks for the thoughts and prayers.. they are truly what is getting me to the light at the end of the tunnel.
God bless
Char
Isn't that so true for all of us struggling with fertility
I have been thinking about you for the last few days and praying like a mad woman! So glad to hear that you are making life! cant wait to hear about the transfer and then that BFP!
Regan Sorry to hear about the medical issues! hope all is well but glad to hear you can still go with the IVF..... I go for training on the bloodsugar tomorrow...... right now only test in the morning but I am using my mom"s machine. The levels have been better in the morning, so that is good. I have another ultrasound on Monday! It will be nice to see the baby but sucks that I have diabetes. Well I will live and manage this for me and the baby!
Moe.... hope all goes well in May!
lots of baby dust to you all!
Robin
My estrogen level is 561 and the doc says that this is really good at this stage. Hoping to see it continue to rise as more follicles mature
Good luck Charlotte - hope the transfer goes smoothly and you get "knocked up" soon
Robin - Hope the blood sugar testing goes well. Fingers crossed for continued healthy baby growth
We had two beautiful healthy embryos transferred today. We are calling them snoopy and Donald duck. Why you ask well we went to talk to our priest on Tuesday and he have us these two stuffed animals. They have our church's name on them. One is a duck and one a dog. So we felt it was funny and appropriate. Lol
We wish you all a happy blessed Easter (if you celebrate. )
Thank you all for rooting for me! I couldn't have gotten to this day without you.
Much love!!
Anne, keep talking to your ovaries! It only takes one, and you have a lot in there! Congrats, try to stay positive and remember more than 1 is a good number!
Robin, hope the u/s goes well, and that you get a good sneak peek!
How is everyone else doing?
I had acupuncture yesterday, it went ok, but the table really hurt my back, so I wasn't able to relax fully. I don't know what happened lying so flat, but I'm still feeling crippled today! But the good thing is I'll be enjoying my day off and just relaxing with a heating pad, so maybe that was God's plan. I'm still feeling pretty down with the DHEA, not even speaking to many people since I'm so irritable, and to top it off, my furbaby woke me up with diarrhea from one end of the house to the other! And a 100lb dog can sure make big piles! She had woken me up twice earlier because someone's dog was loose in the yard (to play with her I'm sure), so I just hushed her when she cried, to go back to bed. Then *I* couldn't sleep because I went straight to thinking of being a bad mom because I won't be able to interpret my baby's cries of distress if I can't even take care of a dog (irrational, I know, it's the DHEA I'm telling you!)
Taking deep breaths, and booking a massage for sometime, when do you think would be the best time to have 1 if I could only afford one or two? (I have one paid for and should be able to get a good rate on another one). I should be starting injectibles after 4/26 or so, but stimulate for about 12 days. I'll have three acupunctures in before the cycle starts, then hope to go weekly until transfer. Thoughts?
Enough about me, good luck ladies, sending you all good thoughts really distracts me, so I'm sending LOTS!
~Regan
So Robin did you get a sneak peek during your ultrasound?? How are you feeling?
Anne you are off to a strong start, keep up the positive thinking and give those ovaries a pep talk!
Well I'm off to Good Friday service. Happy Easter/Passover to all who celebrate!
Moe
Anne, I think 7 is a great number! I agree with regan keep talking to those ovaries! Iit only takes one egg I sure am proof of that! Keep those postive thoughts flowing!
Regan, I have no idea about the massage have never done it. I think its great that you are doing acupuncture this round. Sorry about the blues from the dhea.... never used it so don't have any suggestions. With the flat table, did you have a pillow under your legs? If not that may help next time.
Moe, hoping everything is still on track for the end of the month!
Me, I have an ultrasound on Monday to check his size since I am measuring big. Hoping to get a great view! The blood sugar is going ok after talking to the dietician I was told I can eat more than I thought. I was told to eat more carbs than I have been (since failing I have gone back to the diet that helped me get pregnant.....here I need more carbs....honestly its been hard to eat theamout of carbs they want me too and some things are still spiking my blood sugar a little but much better than it was) I will find out on Monday how long they will let me control it with diest before saying I need meds. Thanks for thinking of me! I will keep you all updated!
Sending all of you lots of baby dust!
Robin
I feel great, no weird crying jags or emotions. My ovaries feel "full" and I did have to get up to pee 5 times last night! I'm taking that as practice for when I'm pregnant
I did have a bit of a hot flash last night and my doc thinks it's due to high levels of estrogen in my blood and no biggie.
Still looking at Wed-Fri for retreival. Woot!
Sticky baby dust to all and a very Happy Easter/Passover to those who celebrate.
We expect about 8 eggs and then hopefully 6-7 to fertilise. Really praying that I have enough to get to the 5 day blasto transfer as opposed to the 3 day transfer. Fingers crossed!
So excited for you. Thinking and praying for you this morning! Hoping for a great outcome with the retrieval and the sperm and egg connecting! Here's to really healthy eggs!
Just wanted to let you all know my little boy is in the 91% for his size! He already weighs about three pounds and is on track to weigh almost 9 or more at delivery! The doc is happy with my sugar levels being controlled by diet. From here on out I go in every week and starting in 2 weeks I will have an ultrasound every week to check his size. She said I still have a cance for a natural delivery but also mentioned that a c section could be in my future as well. Just depends on how big he gets! She did not talk about inducing early and instead said they would rather he go to term. So it will be an exciting time ahead with lots of pics of my little boy. His legs are really long(that has to do with donor and not my gd!)
Baby dust to all!
Robin
