Pot-- did you say you had a couple drops if blood? That could be implantation! Very exciting!
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
Lisa, I am good. Reading way too much into stuff and driving myself batty. I hope all these little nuances I am feeling and telling Nichole about aren't setting us both up for major disappointment.

On the UPSIDE of things...I found out Tuesday that I got a promotion at the office which is a new job and will bring me working from home half the week again. Can't wait... AND tomorrow is my last day of GRADUATE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!! SMH

Lisa, a couple like three last night but they were very small when I wiped and two this morning. I Googled how much you should see and it was nothing compared to the pictures Google thew up... WHO KNOWS!
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
    sorry if that was TMI!
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Congratulation on both the promotion and grad school that is an incredible accomplishment!
And it's sounds like implantation bleeding. And don't feel alone in analyzing that. Sometimes I go to the bathroom just look at what's coming out of my vagina!! I don't even need to pee... Haha! I've had heavier discharge this month but don't know if it's just post meds or what? I guess we will all see next week!!

    Hey! Everyone. Happy Friday.
I chose not to do the Clomid this cycle but am still going to do Bravelle and Ovidrel. Of course with back to back IUI's.
Congrats!! On job and keeping fingers crossed for implantation. You also did 2 IUI's ?

7?!? I'm panicking over 2! Congrats though on both the job and the tell-tale drops of blood and the boob pain! I had boob pain that started with my trigger and didn't let up until the d&e for my pregnancy. I hurt so bad I considered sleeping in my bra.

    Callen-good luck this cycle!

Who's the next to test? I still have 10 more days to wait :(
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Hey Pot- do you think RBA will do a blood pregnancy on me Monday? I will be 11 or 12 dpo
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
I'm so ancy...lord give me peace!!
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
I hear ya posh, I am super ancy this time around too, 4 more days to go what day do you test?
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
I'm so excited there are so many of you testing in the next week!!
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
I'm beyond excited. Though I'm hoping I don't get too disappointed if it didn't work. Think positive. Think positive. Denise did you have any signs or symptoms prior to knowing you were pregnant?
I need you to think really hard and give me all the details... Lol

JanB- idk when I'm gonna test. I see the fertility doc Monday and I'm gonna ask him to do a beta.
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
I didn't have an indication. My only hint was that my dog and cat were acting differently. I really didn't feel like I was pregnant until a few days ago!

    Hello everyone -

I'm new here - 38 yo single in Houston, TX. I hope I'm not violating any rules of posting - not in TWW just yet but anticipating it will be starting this week. I don't have much family (only child, mom died 2 months ago) and have only told a couple friends, so I'm just looking for someplace safe to chat about all of this. I selected my sperm donor from Fairfax and just discovered this message board.

This will be my first try at conceiving. I had an abdominal myomectomy for some really big uterine fibroids in 5/2014; I started seeing a fertility specialist in 7/2014. During my initial work-up, my AMH was low but FSH and imaging (HSG) all looked fine. On day 2 of my cycle this month (8/11), I had 11-12 developing follicles and normal uterine lining, so my doctor gave me the go-ahead to start injectables (Gonal-F) on day 3 of my cycle. Today is day 7 of cycle and estrogen levels are increasing appropriately. My doctor is having me come back in tomorrow morning for a repeat estrogen and ultrasound; the nurse said that if I have mature follicles, I could be doing my triggering injection (Ovidrel) as early as tomorrow night.

I'm very nervous/excited! Things have been rough since my mom's death in 6/2014. I decided to move forward with my plans for IUI despite that loss; I hope I'm not setting myself up for more pain.

Looking forward to getting to know you all,

    Houston

Hi everyone!! Sorry I haven't been on here lately. On Vacation. Thinking of everyone and sending lots of baby dust!!!!
  • HoustonHouston Member Member
My post from yesterday still isn't showing up...wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Oh well, at worst I guess I'm just talking to myself :)

Went back to clinic today and found estrogen is still rising appropriately. I have 4 promising follicles (two 15mm, two 12mm). Doc told me to cut my Gonal-F dose in half tonight and let them cook a bit longer; I'm to go back to clinic tomorrow morning. They are telling me that I will be doing my trigger injection (Ovidrel) tomorrow night (cycle day 9), which means my first IUI will be on Wednesday 8/20. Exciting!!

Hope everyone else is doing well (and that someday my posts will show up)!

I don't test until Wednesday but it looks like I am going to get a BFN, I started bleeding a little this morning :-( I have never had my AF come before my tww wait was up and I stopped my prometrium.
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Oh Jan.. I'm sorry. I'm trying to stay positive but I just don't have a good feeling. I'm going to see the fertility specialist this morning and gonna ask him for a beta. But I for some reason have a feeling it's not looking good. Idk what else I could do differently. I eat healthy I walk, I did the meds the back to back iui's.. I don't smoke I don't drink.. I know I'm just preparing for a disappointment. Crap.
    I'll keep you guys updated.

    Good morning!
My prayers are with everyone this week! Try to stay as positive as you can until you know it is negative for sure. This is a confusing, complicated, frustrating process but I truly believe having positive thoughts is important. It definitely doesn't hurt, that's for sure!
Good luck this week to everyone!
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Denise-I should be glass half full but instead crying ugly face because I don't know what else to do differently or better to make this happen.
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
Lisa, what time is your appointment today? I think working with this new group will give you more confidence in getting pregnant
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
I do feel better after seeing them. I did blood test and a beta today. I'll know about the beta tomorrow though I don't think it's looking good. So after an hour consult he and I decided to move to ivf after next cycle. The success rate is 50% with it and since I'm covered I think I'd rather move forward to that. I go next week to learn the fertility injection process with the nurse. I am so happy I went and feel encouraged with changing up how I move forward.

Well, not sure anyone even knows me....it took 2 days for my posts to show up on this thread (see page 50...LOL).

Anyhow, doc said to do the triggering shot of Ovidrel tonight at 11pm; I'll then have my first IUI on Wednesday 8/20 at 11am. Exciting!
Is anyone else getting ready to start their TWW?

Good luck to everyone testing this week!
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Houston- welcome to the group. I'm wrapping up my TWW this week. I'll know for sure in the next few days. Of course after having a major meltdown this morning. But I think having a plan of ivf will cushion the blow if my last iui didn't take. If that makes any since.
    Kisses
    Lisa

Hi Lisa :) Thanks for the welcome!

Why do you feel like things aren't looking good for your most recent IUI? Just a gut feeling or some physical symptoms? I'm not sure what to even look for during the TWW.
  • MoonlitwishMoonlitwish Member Member
Hi Houston! Welcome! I'm halfway through my tww. This is only my second try to conceive but will prob be my last due to finances. We are happy to have you join us!
Lisa, I really really hope your Bad feeling is wrong! Thinking sticky baby dust at you!
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Idk. It feels like a gut feeling. Though maybe it's a defense mechanism to dealing with it not working. I asked the doc what he thought. He thinks if it's def 0 tomorrow on the result more than likely I'm not pregnant but thinks there is a small chance and should test again in a few days. I'm 11-12 dpo so he did think if I were pregnant it would show on the test. So I guess I'll know tomorrow how it looks.
