I'm excited for the ladies finding out Friday. Brandy don't feel bad atleast your inseminated. My cycle this month is late for no good reason but to further aggravate my week.) I kinda want it to come just so I can begin next months process.
So here's a question for the single ladies. Are you still open to dating during this process?
Personally I've flipped back and forth. Most times I feel like I should hold off partly because I don't want the interference and secondly I'm afraid of the weirdness. Anytime I've met someone I feel it necessary to be upfront with this information like I have some disease.
The other side is I do like interaction with the opposite sex. Chatting, dinner movies etc.
anywho what works best for you guys?

I am definitely up for dating during this process, especially in these early stages. It hasn't gotten to this but if I had 5-6 dates with a guy and felt like it could be something longer term, I would let him know what is going on. Until then though, I don't feel the need to share what I am going through.

    Happy Birthday Iposh!!

    Hello!
Anyone taking Clomid? Just finished day 5 and am nervous. Says it can cause cyst? Meaning no IUI if this happens. Maybe I just worry too much.
    Happy Birthday Iposh
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
I'm up for dating also. Although if I were dating I wouldn't be in this situation. Lol. I don't even remember my last real date, probably 5 years ago.
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Aww. Thank you guys for the bday wishes. And I'm weirdly happy to say my cycle started today. So I'll start my clomid Saturday.
    Callen
As far as clomid and cyst. I had regular ovarian cyst since I can remember. I was put on birth control in my twenties to help with it. Cyst usually get aggravated with ovulation. So when I was on birth control I stopped having issues because I wasn't ovulating.
Even when I stopped my birth control a year ago I didn't have any issues.
However, once I started clomid two months ago my cyst did flare up and were pretty big especially during ovulation. Though even with my cyst it didn't interfere with having four mature follicles. So my doctor wasn't concerned with doing my iui and it making a difference. I just have very bad cramping when I ovulate with the cyst. But it last only 24 hours. If you don't already have cyst then I would really be concerned.

I think AF is making her entrance. Started today around 5 pm. I was due for AF Friday and I am very regular so it is kind of strange that I started lightly tonight. I do not suppose bleeding from implantation would happen 11 days after the IUI? I sent a message to my Dr right before I left work this evening that I want to start clomid this round... should hear back in the AM. iposh I am a law ovulator, but it seems like we will be doing the next tww together.
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Is it like a normal period? Maybe your doctor will do a pregnancy test early to confirm.
  • nyflynyfly Member Member
    Hi all:
Pot any further word? I'm keeping my fingers crossed. LPosh. In sorry that sucks and is just plain mean bitch of AF! You want to get going again!

Callen- I did letrazole and ovidrel. Doc should do a sono if your not pg to make sure there no cysts from the meds. Mine will do when I go in. For day 3 bloods again.

Brandy / that's so interesting. I hope so! She didn't even mention 36 hours! I had three follicles - one looked "awesome" two looked "good."

I think Drizzy and Tex mentioned dating!!! I totally am in same boat. It's a weird position to be in. I had a guy that dicked me around for months start texting me and asked me out again. We never actually met. He cancelled on me like 3 times including a car crash (catfish?) and I told him generally what I was doing and he flipped out and asked , "why you don't meet good guys?" Ironic. I just had to Laugh!

Where is everyone located state wise? Im in NY ( not that you all didn't figure that out). Saying prayers for you all and sending well wishes. Xo

Ps. Pardon my language everyone. I have a potty mouth. My apologies if I offended anyone reading that!
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
LOL...nyfly.....I think you and I would get a long great in real life. I also have a potty mouth!!!

PS I'm in Texas if you haven't already guessed.
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
I don't mind the language, I think pulled out the first cuss word early in the thread so I'm good with it! I live in Chicago.
Guys are nuts! I still talk to 2 of my exes from years ago and I told both of them what I am doing and both have offered to take a stab at getting me pregnant. Ummm, if you weren't such douchbags years ago, I wouldn't be in this situation now!
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
Pot, I heard that light bleeding doesn't mean you are out of the game. I agree with Texas and New York, see what the doctor says.
And by the way, my name is Denise
  • nyflynyfly Member Member
Oh Good! I kind of panicked.
We are all spread over the country! Denise- my hs Bf and I are still good friends and he is pissed bc he offered a while ago (that would be too complicated). Haha.
TX - agreed. I look forward to tucking in on the couch at night to see what you all are up to!
    My name is Suzi, btw.

I'm having a great time reading your thread and want to jump in! I won't have my first IUI until early next week but took Femara for 3-7 days and will also have an injection on Monday. I'm 40, single and living in Kansas City. I can SO relate to those of you who have feel like they've waited along enough and have awkward dating stories. I too have male friends who are supportive but swear that their sperm would be far superior to anything that I could ever purchase. They aren't competitive or anything! HA! Anyway...I'll soon be joining the TWW crew. I think I'm finally starting to understand all the acronyms around here. Look forward to hearing about everyone's progress. Good luck to you all!

My name is Lisa and I live in Atlanta.
And Oh y'all stories make me giggle. Both of my ex's know I'm doing this too. My longtime ex wanted to come up here badly before any "foreign sperm" had entered my vagina! He is silly and I told him no. I didn't have the heart to tell him a few foreign sperm had already been there since his had...lol
The other ex, I told him the other day I thought I was pregnant and his response was "yea let's celebrate and have sex".. I just smh. Plus I worried if I did he'd shake the baby out! Lol

Pot- I had a pink tinge of blood in panties around 11 day post iui and I thought it was implantation bleeding. I had read it can be 6-12 days after ovulation. So I'd keep holding out till the red tide really rolls in!
I still have my fingers crossed for all the Friday girls.
    Kisses

I'm in Canada!! Had my 7 days post ovulation progesterone test and it came back at 184.4!!! Does this sound alittle high to you? The highest I ever had was 39.8... The. Nurse said it meant I ovulated at least 3 eggs minimum! I hope a sperm hits at least one! Take care ladies
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Congrats Chantilly!!! I do hope this is a great sign!

TX. It is emotional.. I was not expecting this process to be so emotional myself. Give yourself time to feel.
    I'm sorry Babe.(

I haven't started yet. And the feeling has subsided. I called my nurse and she said to try not to stress and to go through with the blood test tomorrow.
  • chantillylacechantillylace Member Member
Thanks @iposh my hubby just got a lay off notice so this is defiantly our last try for a while :( fingers crossed!!
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
It is very emotional! I am having a pregnancy test party with my 5 closest friends next Saturday! Negative or positive, I want them there for support
  • Brandy1550Brandy1550 Junior Member Junior Member
    Ohio here!!!
D-rizzy the test party sounds like a great idea!
Good luck to everyone whos testing on friday
Chantillylace- how much longer til you can test??
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Driz - Pregnancy party sounds fun! I learned this past month that testing everyday made me think more obsessively. And getting a false positive was stupid emotional!! So this month I'm not testing at all! I'm totally gonna wait for a missed period... Well I'll test no sooner than day 28.

TX- my fingers are crossed tight for you right now.)

Also it felt good to go ahead and pick up my clomid and know I'll be starting this new month fresh. And can let go of last months disappointment.

However, i called to make my 12 day ultrasound appt. today.
(I go in on day 12 to get an ultrasound to check the size of my eggs and if they are mature and the size etc. kinda what determines when to take the trigger etc. )
And the nurse was like you can come in for the ultrasound and the doc will call you.. I said no. It's not happening like that! I will come in, have an ultrasound AND see a doctor regarding the results then. Because I'm on meds, I need to know when to trigger, and I'm doing an iui. (With donor sperm that cost money) BITCH DONT INTERFERE!.. I didn't say the last part.. But I thought it! I know that's a lot!
I feel like I really have to be firm with my office regarding getting quality care! As a Nurse myself I have respect for others in my profession but this is my life and a higher priority over her feelings and what normally happens. If it requires me to be annoying and firm about my care than so be it. I'm my only advocate for my body and my future baby.
I am probably going to call back tomorrow and request to speak with the doc about doing back to back iui's. I haven't decided. I might just spring it on them when I send two vials and discuss on my 12 day us appt.
    Any suggestions?
Should I be asking for more??
The reason I say this is, because I have been on clomid 3 months. I don't want to thin my uterus out with this drug because my doctors office is lazy!!!
My point is, it's frustrating but I have to have them doing their 100% as much as I am doing mine.
I'm saying a prayers for all TWW ladies that get to find out tomorrow.)
Lastly, I'm super grateful we all have made this connection. It's helped me tremendously. And sorry if I have came across crabby tonight.(
    Kisses
