No meds for me yet. I asked about after this next try. But the meds they want me to take can cause cysts. And since I already have this one cyst that likes to reappear I'm kinda Leary of taking it. I'm going to have to make an appt to discuss my options. I'm wondering why she wants to do this drug instead of clomid.

Ok just got done at the sonogram. It was inconclusive. I had 3 follicles on left 1 on the right. None bigger than 13. He said it was too early so I have another appt on Tuesday. I get endometriosis cysts. They are also called chocolate cysts. But because it's bad if it bursts they have to remove them. He did say the femara would not affect the cyst I get so that's good news. But I'm still going to check with my doctor on Tuesday!!!!

Oh and I don't have pcos. Just the fibroid, cyst and endometriosis.

Well that all sounds like good news! Follicles are good and seem to be at the right size for your day. Don't you think? I think mine were around that at day 11 last month. And two days later they were at 3. Does this mean you don't have to skip a month?

Negative test. But until I get my period, I'm staying positive!

Ok, so I got a positive surge today!!! I knew I should have bet the doctor today!!! Anyway I called the pager for the nurse and was talking to her and said I really don't think they will do anything because my follicles weren't big enough. And some how it came up that the OPK was the flashing smilie and she said oh we don't want the flashing smilie we want the solid stay on the screen smilie. So beyond frustrated right now. Maybe one of these days I will time this right. So she said to keep testing and call if I get the solid stay on the screen smilie. So now I have no idea how much longer it will be for the solid smilie. I don't know how fast the follicles grow, hopefully I will know more at my next ultrasound. I'm so beyond frustrated. Thank God I'm not on meds yet. I would probably be one hot mess right now!!!

Came across this thread and am glad to know I am not the only crazy chic out there counting the next months calendar days! Lol. I am also 37 turning 38 this month. My husband and I have an 18 month old who we love more than I could of ever imagined. So we naturally want to give him a sibling. I became pregnant with twins in February but lost them in April, after finding out they were high risk mo/mo twins. :-( I was so nervous at first (for about an hour) then absolutely ecstatic, then devastated 10 weeks later. After having a D & C I had to wait two months to find out I had a thick lining so had to wait on another month to try which brings me to now. I went in Friday and the NP said I have 3 follies cooking up good! She asked if that scared me I was like heck no bring it on, I don't have any insurance coverage for fertility either (don't get me started on that), so a two for one deal would be ok with me! As far as meds go I went unmediated for two times then did the trigger shot on the 3rd time which worked like a charm for my son. OPK's always failed me because I ovulated early so I always go in for several ultrasounds. My doctors office are awesome and they know I have little reserve of my donor sperm left and am using non-standard quality sperm so I am on Femara/Bravelle and Ovidrel this round as well as I was with the identical twins. So back I go tomorrow to see how big those follies are and probably have an IUI either Tuesday or Wednesday. Am glad to join you ladies in tww or hell weeks as I call them. Good luck to you all and may God bless all of you.

So as I expected I got my solid smilie today. I paged the after hours nurse and she is getting me in at 10:15 tomorrow morning. I will have another sonogram to see if my follicle on the right has grown enough for me to do IUI this time. However during my apt yesterday the doctor said I ovulate way to early. So now I'm afraid that this isn't working because of that. I did read that the follicles grow anywhere from 1 to 3 mm in a 24 hour period. So if the one that was 12 something is the mature one it is possible that by tomorrow it will be about 14 (to small) to 18 (ok). Hoping for the 18, but I believe the 12 follicle was on the left side which means I wouldn't be able to try. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but not getting my hopes up, I believe I will be sitting this month out.

Posh- 7 makes me nervous! I wasn't looking for a reality show! :) Looking forward to hearing your news. I am going to trigger tonight and do IUI Wednesday and Thursday. Fingers crossed!!!

Went to the dr this am. She thinks I got a false positive on the OPK. My follicles and lining still aren't where they should be. Good news is the dominant follicle is on the right. I go for a progesterone check on Wednesday. If it comes back that I haven't ovulated then I go in for another ultrasound on Thursday if everything is good and the numbers are better I get trigger shot Thursday night and IUI Saturday.

So glad you ladies are close to IUI time!! I am 16dpiui, negative pregnancy tests on days 14 and 15 and 1 day late for AF. Not sure what is going on but I am not going to test again until the end of the week if still no AF.
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member

Good luck to everyone!! Still no AF and no signs of starting. I really feel like this was my month so I think I am going on the assumption I am pregnant. It will be even tougher this time around if I'm not but I have you ladies to pout with if needed!! Lisa, I'm with you girl. Triplets would be scary!!
