Sorry about yours wifes job loss. I hope something will come along soon for her. I too have been trying to get to a healthier weight to aid in all this. I lost 15lbs in one mon doing weight watchers, hopefully it will help and cont to come off till a successful pregnancy.
Question... Does everyone's cycle stay on track with all these hormones? Today is day 28 of my cycle, and 15 pico. I usually never go over 28 days. Anxiously waiting to see what the rest of the day holds and will take a test in the morning if AF doesn't come.

Sorry about the job loss Moon.

krsb, my cycle started 4 days late this month and it was the first month of being on meds.

Just had my first IUI today…Now I join the rest of you on the dreaded TWW. Like everyone else, I'm hoping and praying that I am one of the lucky first time BFP people.

AF came this morning 😡. I could feel it coming on last night. Ordered another sample tonight, we are going to try a different donor than the first time.
Good luck brina, hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones!

    Hello everyone!

I'm back after packing up my mom's estate. Very depressing. I've read through the posts I missed to catch up with everyone; sorry to all who have been facing disappointments :( AF came over the weekend so I started my injections last night. This will be my 2nd IUI cycle. Hoping my luck changes as 2014 has not been the greatest year.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

Glad to see you back Houston, I agree with you 2014 has been trying. Started the year off good celebrating my baby boys 1st birthday, then got pregnant after 2 IUI's with twins only to lose them after 2 1/2 months. Since then have been waiting every month to see if I can do an IUI or not and then waiting on pregnancy results. Hoping to get good news on the 6th. Praying everyone on the board gets 2015 babies!

Hey All... I did have a question for everyone. I found out last week (when I was placing my order with FC) that my doctor doesn't except DS and that it has to be sent to my home (which is not realistic since I work full-time and it requires a signature) or the storage facility, which takes 7-10 days to process it once they receive it...Just curious how others are receiving their DS?

Mine is delivered to my dr's office.
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
Same here mine gets delivered to the lab at my clinic. That's weird they won't accept delivery.
  • breezybreezy Junior Member Junior Member
Well, when it is shipped to "storage", its to the lab my doctor's office uses, but I have to have it shipped at least 7-10 days ahead of needing it and have it stored there until needed. I can not have it shipped directly to my doctors office for use the next day or two. If I need to have it available for use within a day or two I have to have it shipped to my house which I think is kinda weird to have something such as this shipped to my home for me to take to my doctors office.

So during this TWW, I keep reading all about people who look up every little symptom. Is there anyone out there who had nothing and still had a BFP? I'm trying not to get disappointed too early but it seems like all I read about are people who are feeling "things". I'm feeling nothing but still holding out hope that there is a chance for a positive! Would to hear about people who had a positive and had no change until they saw a positive test.

That's weird, before one of my IUI's I was pushing it close the sperm was delivered on Friday and I was inseminated the next day. My sperm is also delivered to the lab for my doctor. Which is in the next building.

brina2784 good luck in your tww.

    Hi Brina!
I did not feel anything during my TWW and had a negative pregnancy test at days 14 and 15. However, despite all of that, I am currently 16 weeks pregnant! Even at 16 weeks, I have not felt pregnant, no morning sickness or anything else. I just got back from my doctor's appointment and she assures me that there is a baby in there!!! (Plus all of the ultrasounds pics I have). So I am here to tell you that just because you don't feel anything, it doesn't mean you aren't pregnant. Good luck!

Briana, I am right there with Denise. I also got BFN and any symptoms I felt during the TWW was easily attributed to the pending start of aunt flow. I am 14 weeks pregnant and outside of tender nipples I haven't hand much by way of symptoms and I look forward to Dr. Appointments to assure me the bean is still there as well.

Good luck and chin up!! This pregnancy was a result of our fourth IUI (first medicated round with piggy back IUI's) for this baby. It's our second baby by this process. My partner carried our first using the same donor.

txgrl74, I don't know, my lab said it take 7+/- to process the sperm b/c they said they have to do required FDA infectious disease testing, which I am not sure why they have to do too since FC does it. Just when I feel like I am ready to do this, I get thrown a curve ball and start second guessing being a SMC. Sometimes I feel like the left hand doesn't know exactly what the right hand is doing...when it comes to all the people involved...having sperm delivered to my house definitely came out of left field and then the lab taking 7+ days to process. Very strange. I am still not sure what I have been told about the whole process is completely correct!

Wow - it's so quiet in here compared to 6 weeks ago! What's everyone up to??
I'm scheduled for my 2nd IUI tomorrow morning....did my trigger shot last night....exciting stuff!!
Anyone else in the tww right now?
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
I have three more days left in my tww, getting nervous!
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
    Hey guys,
Sorry I've haven't written in a few. I let myself get consumed with work and of course now I'm over obligated with that. But it's still a blessing. I start my next ivf cycle Saturday with lupron shots! It just sneaked up soo fast. I honestly don't feel ready. Idk if it's fear of disappointment or I'm just tired. I know that sounds horrible. It's not that I don't want a child, I do with all my heart. This is defo an emotionally challenging thing.
I'm still trying to back read to catch up!
    Kisses

Some exciting stuff happening! Good luck Jan, Houston!
I'm with you on the work Lisa. I actually took a mini vaca over the holiday and we decided to skip this cycle. I have my annual exam and pap on Monday and get to tell my pcp what I've been up to the last year. She's gonna be so confused!
Oh and we got legally married on Friday!
And wife starts her new job on Monday!
And we have almost completed all the adoption paperwork and had our fingerprinting done yesterday!
    Who's next?
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
Thanks Moon and Houston, getting super nervous for tomorrow. Moon glad to hear your wife got a job so quickly that is awesome! Are you ladies going to keep pursuing with IUI along with adoption?
  • MoonlitwishMoonlitwish Member Member
Probably no more iui's for us for at least a year. We literally spent all our money. We do have a private non-anonymous donor that we may continue to use for ici, but we decided to wait. Which seems like a decent plan since I have still not ovulated.
Wife wants a baby, but I don't have enough years left on me to bear as many kids as we want so I figure if we adopt 2 older and get preggers with one, we're still right on track!
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
I am all out of vials after this last IUI too. I am going to put away money in my Flex spending at the beginning of the year but I really don't want to take off any months at all since some times I have to skip them for too many follicles. I am getting too old to postpone. It is crazy this day and age that fertility isn't covered on insurance for everyone.
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
    Another big fat negative :-(

    Sorry to hear Jan.
