  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
Hey Jan! I am Kerri. I have my first of two tomorrow. Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I must have missed your post earlier... there are several us that will be in the TWW again together. You doing piggy back IUI's?
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
Hi Kerri, I am just doing one day. I bought some "non-quality" in order to have the same donor so the lab mixes two vials together and do insemination 36 hours post trigger. Last time we did this in February resulted in identical twins but I them in April.

Oh my! I am SOOOO sorry to hear about that Jan! Bottoms up for sure... and best wishes. Look forward to chatting with you over the next few weeks. Hopefully we will all get some good news here soon.

I think Atlanta Medical is level 1 now too.
Kerri- I am doing my shot at midnight because my iui appt is at noon and noon Thursday and Friday. I know I'm gonna be feeling real crampy. Idk if it's the iui's or my painful ovulation due to having a cyst.
But Thursday and Friday can't get here fast enough.
I need Denise to write out a TWW list like she did last month. Lol
    Goodnight all.

This TWW for me was not as well planned out as my first but a few things I did do were: 3 days a week I took a 4 mile walk with a different friend and talked about anything BUT babies/pregnancy; had my 3 nieces come over for a weekend sleep over which included mini golf and bowling; planned 2 dinners a week out with friends; cleaned out all the closets in my house

I didn't have any trips planned except this past weekend at my friend's lake house. Which by the way, my friends are not thrilled that my pregnancy test was positive 2 days later!! Haha!

I don't know why I'm starting to panic. My concern is when I should take my trigger shot? I was planning to take shot at midnight tonight then have my iui at noon tomorrow which is 12 hours later then noon Friday which is 36 hours after shot. Is this right?? Luckily my opk didn't show solid smile this morning. What should I do on the timing of this shot?
And best of luck and baby dust to the girls getting iui's today!! Let us know how it goes.
    Kisses

Denise did you piggy back? I can't remember?
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
I did piggyback but did not use a trigger so I can't help with the timing of that
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
I trigger because I get false positives and false negatives! The eggs were ready so...mine will be 12 and 36 hours as well!
  • nyflynyfly Member Member
Lisa - I did trigger at 9 am and went in 9 am next day.

I had my first iui yesterday with a piggyback today. My wife and I are so nervous... Wishing all u girls luck
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Jle- congrats!! Y'all I don't know why I'm soo nervous this time. Thank you for the input on when to take the shot. I'm taking it at midnight as planned. I feel like my ovaries are sore or tender in some way. Weird.
How do you guys feel after iui? Jle- did you trigger?
    Kisses
    Lisa

Iposh I did the trigger shot on Monday night and went in at 8 am Tuesday morning for my first iui. Two nurses came in and they were not able to do it so they had me come back yesterday at 11 am so the Dr can do it himself. Today the Dr did it at around 9am.

14.999 mil were the numbers today! Back tomorrow for round two! All went well, I feel just a tad bit of cramping this time and I am not sure why but nothing uncomfortable. Here's hoping people... baby dust to all!!!!!!
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
    Good luck everyone!!
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
My bloodwork is back and the dr was right I was getting a false positive on the OPK. ugh just one more thing I have to deal with. I go in tomorrow morning for another ultrasound then I will do the trigger at between 6 and 9 Thursday evening and then will have the IUI Saturday morning.

Crap.. I just felt myself ovulate and I took my opk just now and it came back positive. I called my ob and am on my way over there. Fuk! Can they tell if I'm ovulating for real by us??
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
The u/s can show if the follies have popped, releaseing the eggs. If you don't have any follies in your ovaries, then they have ovulated!
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
So they said the opk is actually showing the lh surge and I will ovulate 24 hours after. So they still want me to give myself the shot to help release the eggs and keep my iui's tomorrow and Friday. Whew!!
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
I think a blood test is the only thing that can say for sure if you have already ovulated.
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
I called the nurse back to tell her I wanted to do an us. I'm waiting for her to call back.
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
I'm fighting with my office right now about this us. They are playing the fence with me about it. So I came to the front desk and said I wanted it. I have 1200 dollars riding on this months procedure. So we will see.
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
So the us tech left for the day. And then the office manager said maybe I should go to a fertility specialist so they can monitor me more closely! So she said after this iui maybe you should go there. It was so fukn rude I swear I wouldn't come back tomorrow if it wasn't already coming out of my pocket. I can't afford to be upset I know that just blew my mind.
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
Oh my gosh! How unprofessional of them! Why do they care if you want to go everything possible to make sure this one works?!?! Stay calm, breathe, think positive thoughts. Don't let that stupid doctor's office stress you out.
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
    Thanks Denise.
I actually feel better. I'm am going to go to a fertility specialist if this month doesn't work. I'm still doing my back to back iui's with my same ob with full hope it works.
I emailed a Fertility Specialist Clinic and gave them all my info. It felt good to just have that other option secured. I am tired of fighting with the ob office.
Since they don't want to do what I want and I'm not happy with them not watching me more closely then it is best I see a specialist.
When I talked to the nurse at my ob today and said I was doing back to back iui's she had never heard of it. She said do they do that? I just shook my head. She didn't even know what the trigger shot was. So apparently this office is not set up to cater to my situation.
And that's fine. I just would have rather known early on instead of having to request for everything.
It was making me feel like a high maintenance and irritating patient. When in actuality I'm not. These request are much the norm and reasonably to have.
So I've calmed down for the sake of my own sanity and to have no stress this next few weeks. Thank you though for responding. Your so sweet.
How did everyone's iui go today?
    Kisses
