So we did our first iui with a donor. I was very disappointed to discover that his count was only 7 mil and motility was 34%. Now we wait for 2 weeks. Anyone else have this issue?
-
Number 2 failed
sigh
-
Sorry True :-(
-
Thank you Jan.) I'm doing okay. Trusting God has the best in mind for my life.
-
Good to hear Lisa, I am trying to do the same, trusting He has a better plan than I did :-)

Hey Everyone! I am new to this forum...and I need your help. We did our first IUI on Monday. This whole process is so new to us. We never thought we'd be in this position. It has really been a rough fertility ride. So many people, each day get their blessing of having a child. And it's hard when you have to jump through all sorts of hoops just to have a child, if this works, and I pray it does, it will be worth it. So we used donor 4417. We picked him because of the comments that several had said on here about their success with him and with the quality of the donor. On Monday, right before the RE did the IUI, she told us that the count was only 7 million and the motility was only 34%. That was so shocking! What is the normal amount a donor should have? Can you have a successful pregnancy with those numbers on a IUI? I'd love to hear all of your comments???? Also any other info you can share would be great! Thanks Much! Baby dust to everyone!

After 7.5 months of waiting, I finally completed my first IUI today. I'm officially in my tww.
-
Had my baseline on Friday, I have yet another obstacle, there is a very large cyst on my ovary. So now I wait some more and hope it goes away.
-
Do they make you wait an extra month if you have a cyst?
-
Yes I have to wait a month just to see if it disappears. Not sure what happens if it doesn't. They don't want me starting meds with a cyst.
-
Hey everyone. I am in my two wait week. I think as of today I'm at 7dpiui. Up until now I've felt on symptoms. But last night I got very sick. I am sick to my stomach, lots of stomach pain. I am having weird food aversions where certain foods aren't MSG,Jung me feel good. I know it's still early but would this be a sign of pregnancy?

It couldahayden, they say implantation occurs around 8 days after conception. Having said that, i went through this 3x before and your mind plays tricks on you i had unusual cramping and nausea that I was sure were signs. I just did my 4th iui today. Babydust to you i hope they are in fact signs! !!
-
Tx_rain You and I both! Did 4th iui today, used a new donor that i have theorized about so lets both hope this sticks
Babydust to you

Janbaby,. sorry you have to wait an extra month. I feel your pain.
Ahayden, I'm not sure if those are signs but they could be. Fx for you. Keep us posted.
4th Try O+, hoping you the best on try number 4 with the new donor. Lots of baby dust to you.
As for me, I am trying not to focus on every little symptom especially since it is only 2dpiui.I am planning to test out my trigger starting tomorrow. It is going to be a looking two weeks. -
I just wanted to wish everyone lots of luck!! I saw my Dr last week and she wrote a letter to the insurance company asking them to cover IVF for me because she doesn't think IUI will work in my case. She said it will be about two weeks before we hear back from them sand find out their decission. It feels like another dreaded two week wait.
-
Thanks everyone! Good luck to each of you. I got anti-nausea meds today which have really helped. I just can't keep anything down. Not throwing anything up its TGIF other end if you know what I mean. I have had lots of headaches every other day. I get those right before my period but that's not for another week. It's so hard to know what this is.

Thank you TX_RAIN we're in this together. I got positive opk on my day14 which meant I should have ovulated/ did insemanate iui on day 15. Trying not to guess about implantation day. Can you explain what you mean by " test out my trigger" ? Thx -

The trigger shot is the HCG shot the provider usually orders approximately 24-36 hrs before the insemination. It is supposed to "trigger" ovulation. I started taking pregnancy tests, which I know will be positive, in hopes of seeing these test read negative. Therefore, when I start taking pregnancy tests later, I will know that it is a true positive and not from the trigger shot. I do realize that this is a bit obsessive and will probably make the tww more stressful, but I can't help myself. -
Hey 4th try...I had the IUI last Monday. So we have another week. It's so hard to wait. I am starting to have some symptoms...lots of headaches, tired, I have ate some things that really didn't make me feel good. So, I am so hoping that all of this is a good sign. All the while, I am still seeing so many family and friends who are getting their blessing while I sit here and wait. It is so hard. But I am pushing through hoping for the best! How about you?

Question for all of you...I am nearing the end of the 2WW...it will be this Sunday. My period should show up (hopefully not) on Sunday. In my experience, when I have taken climbed, it has stalled my period by 3-4 days. Have any of you experienced that? Was you period late because of IUI meds? Thanks!
-
ahayden, I never took Clomid, however I did take Femara and Gonal F. I did two cycles on these meds and I believe my period came shortly after the call from my doctor stating my blood test was negative. Sorry I can't help.
-
Man this is getting so surreal. It's getting to the point of we can just reach out and grab it. I am feeling very different. I can't explain it. It's not the same as it usually is when I get my period. I don't know. Have a few days left. Not sure when I should take a test. I kind of feel that I should prepare myself and take a test before something shows up. If you had a pregnancy when did you take a test?
-
again, no pregnancy. Have tried a total of 7 IUI's with no luck. My af is pretty regular. I'm going to start IVF soon.
-
Hi Pot. I see that you had a positive and got pregnant with an iui. I'm currently in my 2ww. I did mine with 100 mg of clomid. Did you take a test or wait to see if you missed your period? I'm having lots of symptoms but some are just like I get when a period is coming on.
-
I've been stalking this thread since my first IUI back in September, but have never posted. I've never taken clomid, so I'm not sure how that may affect your period, but I did get a BFP on my last cycle in December. I was testing pretty regularly and only started getting a very faint positive around 12dpIUI. Unfortunately, I had an early miscarriage just before I was 6 weeks so now I am waiting around to try for a 5th time. I'm hopeful that if I got pregnant once though that it will happen again. I just hope it's soon. Anyways, I hope this is helpful for you ahayden! Your symptoms sound promising! I'm really hoping you get your BFP!
