Dreamsabc123, I'm so sorry. If you ever want to talk my sister has Turner's Syndrome and a friend of mine has it also, she just adopted. My sister did not go through puberty so she will probably never be able to have children. My sister only made it to 4'9" with the help of human growth hormone, otherwise the doctor's said she would not have been any taller than 4'7". However she wasn't diagnosed until she was 10. She does have the webbing of the neck, fingers and toes, but her neck is very minor. Again I'm very sorry and if you ever want to talk please send me a message.

Hi everyone. I had my apt today to see if I can precede with IVF and the ultrasound looked good. She said there was no cyst so I start my meds on Sunday. I'm excited and anxious and nervous. I'm glad to be getting ready to start this cycle.
  • TX_RAINTX_RAIN Member Member
Good luck with your IVF. I'm curious as to what effects the meds have. Keep us posted.
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Hi Ladies, so I started my meds on Sunday. It was micro dose Lupron. So far I haven't really noticed any side effects. Just one crying episode on Monday morning for no reason. I just started the gonal f and the Menapur last night. I go for my next ultrasound on Saturday. I can't wait to see what is happening with my ovaries and follicles.

Hi everyone! I am finally able to post on here! I have been following everyone's messages but just haven't been able to write anything for some reason.
In case the newer people don't recognize my name, I am one of the original founders of this thread back in the summer of 2014!! I am happy to say that I am 36 weeks pregnant which makes me due in exactly 1 month!
I just want to wish everyone good luck and know that this process does work! Stay positive and keep reaching out to each other. It is a huge relief to know people are going through exactly the same thing as you or can at least relate more than some of your friends that are not going through AI.

And the tww is on again for the 11th time :-)

Hi Denise, Oh my you are due in a month. That's crazy. Good luck!!!

Janbaby good luck in your tww.

I had my ultrasound on Saturday and I had 7 follicles. 3 on the right and 4 on the left. The biggest was 10mm and the smallest was 3. I go back on Wednesday for another ultrasound. She said tentatively my retrieval would be on Monday the 23rd. Still no real side effects. Maybe a few headaches and some indigestion. Although the doctor said the indigestion isn't a side effect of the meds, however I think it is because it started the Monday after I started the Micro dose Lupron. Has anyone taken that before and had that side effect? Anyways, I will let you guys know what I find out on Wednesday.

Good Luck and baby dust to all!!

Hi guys! I'm in my TWW as well. Next Monday I can test, this is my 5th IUI. I've never felt as confident it's going to work before, than I am with this time. I only have one more IUI try after this before we move onto something else. Good Luck to everyone else!

Hi Ladies, how's everyone doing? I'm going to have my egg retrieval on Tuesday. I'm waiting on the nurse to call me and let me know when I can do the trigger shot tonight. I think I will have 3 mature follicles possibly 4. I don't think that is very many but I'm hopeful I will get at least one good viable egg maybe 2. It would be great if all 4 are viable and able to be fertilized but I know that with my age it's probably unlikely. Anyway I just wanted to give an update.

    Hi,
I'm sorry I've been quiet for awhile. I just wanted to get on and wish everyone who was trying lots and lots of luck! I met with a genetic counselor who thinks it could be safe for me to get pregnant, but I would need IVF and genetic testing on the eggs before they implanted one. I'm a little torn because some doctors are telling me it's totally unsafe and I could die in the last trimester, in labor or even a few years after labor because my heart could have changed. Other people are telling me that's true for people who are classic turner syndrome and I'm only 15% and that I should be fine. Not really sure what to do when I get mixed answers on something so serious? I'm meeting with Maternal Fetal Medicine this Thursday to see what they think. I'm also still waiting back to hear from my own cardiologist who now has all the notes on this new information and diagnosis for me. I wish things didn't have to be soooo complicated and unknown!! Anyway, I'm really praying for you girls on here that you get your little baby that you have been waiting so long for. Lots of baby dust to everyone that is trying!

Hi ladies, had my retrieval today. They were able to get 5 eggs. I should find out tomorrow how many are able to be fertilized.

    txgrl74,
Did you find out today? I hope you got good news!
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Hi Dreamsabc123, I got the second report today and only 3 eggs have fertilised. They will be calling me again on Sunday with another update.
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Got another call this morning. One embryo was ready to be frozen today. The other two still weren't. They said they will check again on Tuesday and see if they are ready. If not I guess I will only have the one embryo.
  • TX_RAINTX_RAIN Member Member
Fingers crossed for the other 2. Will you be doing a FET next month?
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
Another negative today :-( Now we are going to do a laprascopy and hysterscopy to make sure there is nothing else going on. I am going to change donors after this also.

Hi everyone, I'm currently in my tww and I'm going crazy! Today is day 6. Really hoping this sticks!
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Hi everyone. I got the last update call today. Unfortunately the other two embryos weren't progressed enough to freeze. So I will just have the one embryo for transfer. I will be having the transfer after my af shows up in April.

    Sorry to hear janbaby.

Well to the tww knewbeginnings, baby dust coming your way.
  • txgrl74txgrl74 Senior Member Senior Member
Well AF came yesterday with a vengeance. I went in today for my baseline ultrasound. I go back in two weeks for another ultrasound. I started my Estradiol today. I'm taking one pill twice a day until the 9th then I will start taking it three times a day. They said as long as everything goes as planned my transfer will be done on the 22nd. How's everyone in the TWW doing?

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I have posted. This journey is such a tough one. I finally made it through IVF after 3 failed. They retrieved four and placed 2 back in. I just found out nothing took. I was just wondering if anyone failed the fresh transfer and was successful with a frozen transfer?
