Hi Everyone. I just wanted to follow up... we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Valerie, into this world on April 10th. She is happy and healthy and it has been a roller coaster ride ever since. She has brown hair and blue eyes and a very fiesty personality to boot! I would love to hear from others who have babies using this donor (or are currently pregnant). We can't believe she is finally here but it has definitely been worth the wait.

Bloojool, I am interested. I am not sure if I could buy them or if they have to go to sibling only users and this wouldn't be for a sibling... but if its allowed I am interested in 2976 IVF vials.

Congratulations jmahon01 and Bloojool! So good to hear that your babies are healthy and doing well! Just an update...we are 33 weeks along with a baby boy from donor 2976. I have been on bed rest since about 28 weeks due to high blood pressure, but doing well.

I used 2976 for 6 IUI's unsuccessfully. My doctor was slightly concerned about consistently low numbers after the thaw of each vial. I called in June to get another vial and he had reached his pregnancy limit and was only available for families with siblings. I was intially very disappointed. I bought 1 vial from 2651 for my 7th IUI, the post thaw count was near 20 million, double the numbers from 2976. I got pregnant on my first try with 2651!! I'm very happy, I guess it just wasn't meant to be with the first donor. I am expecting a baby girl in march 2013!

Just wanted to announce that our baby boy was born 5 weeks early (due to high blood pressure) in September 2012. He was a big boy for 35 weeks weighing 6 lbs 2 oz, 18.5 inches long. He also has long fingers and toes! He is a strong but sweet little guy. Thank you so much donor 2976!!!

I realize most people don't read this post anymore, but I'm proud to say I'm 8 weeks pregnant (finally, after over a year of trying) with donor 2976! I'm looking forward to connecting with other donor offspring from this donor. Are you out there?

After our 4th IUI with donor (2 in 2 days) we are changing donors. The last 2 units we got were unimpressive at best. Have to thank Fairfax who really tried to make the matter right for me and my partner. We loved this guy. He was a perfect fit for us and we are devastated, but feel its time to move on from him.
  • i see that this is a old thread but we have purchased the last 2 vials available unwashed for iui. Our clinic only does the washing them selves to ensure it is done to their standards here is the problem I purchased the vials before finding this thread and now I am soo disappointed. I am currently 6dpiui the post thaw post wash count was TERRIBLE 3.5 million with 48 % mot. I am already convinced this cycle was a bust and as really disappointed with the sperm I received. I will be contacting fairfax once I get my BFN. I haven't seen much action about this donor any recent success stories?? thanks all

I would say that she has it right. We received two units in two days and the sperm was dead. Like I said, Fairfax was wonderful about it, but that is the facts.

Looking for someone to assume ownership of 4 vials of iui donor # 2976.

I have 4 iui that I hope someone will assume ownership of. My life circumstances have changed. Anyone want them?

hi I am Canadian so he was available in this country, they have may samples to sell. my two iui's were a complete busts the counts were never over 4.3 million I couldn't get a refund because my clinic does the washing (they are adamant on receiving unwashed sperm) so they arrived frozen and unwashed at 10.2 million but washing cut that WAY down. No BFP and the forums made me lose faith in this donor. We are moving on to a new one let the search begin! Best wishes to those who conceived with him he was a cute little kid :)

Hello ladies! Those of you who acheived pregnancy by donor 2976: do you recall what your motility was? NOT the TMC, but the percentage of motile sperm post-thaw. I have 3 viles of donor 5104, whose TMC is 10 million but motility is only 35%. Feeling hopeless... maybe I dont need to be?? I really appreciate your time!

I can see this thread is 6 years old now but in case someone searched by the donor number like I did.....I have a vial of 2976 to give away. We had a wonderful pregnancy and child with this donor and I don't want to dispose of the sperm we've had stored if someone could use it. I need to know asap as my storage facility, Shady Grove, is waiting for either payment or disposal form. A Shady Grove patient could take this sperm, or Fairfax cryobank will facilitate transfer for a sibling. Thank you!
