Thanks guys. I thought I was about to panic. I woke up then starting thinking about it then crying. Then I was like whoa calm down. Pray about it. I did and was able to reflect that I've been through harder things and been fine. Infact I always get through. I know this sounds weird but I asked myself is this God trying to strengthen me for being a single parent? Somehow that didn't feel right to think that but either way I have to push on. I'm so glad I can wake up and write to y'all about things like this. Because Not having a partner to cry on is hard. So thanks for being here. Really.
Geez I'm already a ball of emotions and I haven't even started.
Callen my period starts in around three weeks so that's when I will start this.
Again thank you for being here for this big ball of mess right now.
    Kisses

Kerri - good luck today w/your last beta HCG!! Also good luck to Robo who is nearing the end of the TWW!!

Lisa- I was wondering why your RE was recommending 2 vials since they technically need less sperm for IVF. That makes sense. Glad they are flexible about it.

Today is 9dp IUI for me. I did my Dollar Store UPT this morning and it was definitely negative, so the Ovidrel is no more. I'm going to test again on Monday since that will be day 12. My AF isn't due until day 18, so I'm guessing I will be peeing on a lot of sticks between days 12-18....I hope something comes back positive :)

    Have a happy Friday everyone!!!

    Robo - IUI 8/18 —> 9/1
    Houston - IUI 8/20 —> 9/3
    Callen - IUI 8/23-24 —> 9/6-7

Thanks Houston! I love coming here and reading this thread. I'm going through all of the emotions with you guys. This thread is seriously like a good book...when I run out of post to read...I want more!!! Each and every one of your stories is very motivational and through these two weeks I have definitely felt each and every one of your pains and joys. I want you all to know, you are all in my thoughts every day.

My wife and I caved and took a pregnancy test this morning...Day 12 and got a BFN. She was medicated and this was our first IUI. The only advice our RE gave us before he walked out was, "call when you have a missed period." That was it. So these two weeks have been torture. As I'm sure EVERY tww is!!
We decided not to give up hope and wait it out until Monday. Ugh!

I'm with Houston, though, now I just want to test, test, test...EVERYDAY! Lol

    Love to you all.

I have had spotting the last day or so... OMG nerves. However, beta just came back. It was a Friday to a Friday, I went from 114 to 1,659. First u/s is 09/05! Here's hoping ladies...

Houston don't count yourself out yet. To everyone else... so excited and looking forward to hearing your good news.

OK - I'm having mild cramping and very light spotting. Surely my AF is not coming 9 days early?? Could this be implantation bleeding??
    Aggghhhh - what is happening?!?!?!

    P.S. - Congrats Kerri :)
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
    Congrats Kerri!!!

Houston, I agree with Posh. I had the bleeding day 10 or 11 I can't remember. Yay- happy thoughts. BTW, what kind of Dr are you?

I do 2nd round of IUI tomorrow & Sunday. Last month was a failed IUI with ovidrel and 1 IUI, this time around we're doing ovidrel & 2 IUI's back to back.

Sharig with you all because it feels good having someone to "talk" to who is going through what I am. My wife & I aren't telling anyone about our journey until we ARE 12 weeks pregnant. (God willing).

Welcome to all the new people. I'm pretty new to this board myself :)

Lisa, when will you be back at RBA? I have an appt 09/05
  • HoustonHouston Member Member
Kerri - I'm a psychiatrist for homeless veterans. I haven't done any OB/GYN since medical school, so you can safely assume that I will be unable to answer most questions re: "lady parts" :) Well, I can look up the answers....but obviously very much outside my wheelhouse.
  • lposhlposh Senior Member Senior Member
Day one of my period so 3 weeks?
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
Psychiatrist. Wow. I imagine that has to be a pretty eye opening job and experience.
  • HoustonHouston Member Member
Working with the homeless is incredibly eye opening. So rewarding though! Love love love my job!!
How about you? You said you are finishing up grad school and just got a promotion, right?

Hi Ladies, I hate that the app doesn't work on my phone. Means I have to wait to tell you about my dr appt. So I went in for my ultrasound and she said it was too early. I had 2 follicles one on each side (I swear I'm going to scream if the mature one is on the left again this month), one was 6mm and the other was 7mm. She wants me to come back on Wednesday next week for another ultrasound. Hopefully by then we will know for sure whether I can try this month. We also had a great talk. She look at my amh levels and said they were above average for my age. Which for me was very encouraging. We also discussed this being my last unmedicated IUI. We will go to medication next try if there is a next try. She decided instead of just doing the Femara she wanted to do a hybrid, so she will put me on Femara for 4 days and then I will go to Gonal F after that. I don't know how I'm going to be able to do injectables. My sister had to get shots when she was younger and they tried to teach me how to do it, but I couldn't. I had a co-worker give me the one ovidrel shot I needed in May. This is going to be tough.

Grats Kerri, you must be so excited. Houston, Callen and Robo hang in there, I know the tww is torture but I'm sending you all sticky baby dust.

Houston, now you get to be our resident psychiatrist on this forum lol. It would be nice having such a rewarding job but it takes a special person to be in the medical field at all I admire all of you who are! Sorry I can't offer any services to anyone on here besides an ear, I work in accounting...boring ha, ha. As you can tell from my previous post I am not a risk taker so I played it safe in my profession too, I wanted to be a teacher or nurse growing up. Excited for long weekend of cleaning and hanging out with my boy, no major plans just being a homebody and trying to keep my mind off of the fact I should be doing an IUI this weekend. Ready to fast forward a few weeks!

I have a silly question ..will you still see spotting if you are taking the progesterone in your Tww??
I am only on day 5. Was just wondering.
    Congrats Kerri!!!!
    Thinking of everyone!!!

Jan, don't even think twice about it. You made a decision that was best for you and your health and I wouldn't second guess that. You'll be back in the game next month and we will all still be here for you!!

Have a great Labor Day weekend everyone!!

    Updated list to include ck2014.

    Robo - IUI 8/18 —> 9/1
    Houston - IUI 8/20 —> 9/3

    ck2014 - IUI 8/30-31 —> 9/13-14

So where are we all going to meet for the group baby shower? I know Drizzy and Jan are in/near Chicago; Moonlit is in South Carolina; Callen is in West Virginia; Lisa/Kerri are in Atlanta; three of us are in TX. Where's everyone else from?
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
You're right D-rizzy I will quit second guessing it. I am
just a couple of hours south of Chicago.
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
I cannot see who asked but I work in consumer lending for a bank. I have been an underwriter for loans, I worked in systems support for the lending systems, and project management type work. Now, I will be doing project management and workflow management for an underwriting sales center.

I am excited but reserved about the baby. I have been spotting since yesterday... nothing major but enough to make me worry. Beta was fine though and the Dr. said things seem fine today. Not to stress or worry apparently is very common but jeez it's hard! My numbers quadrupled almost so here's hoping.
  • callencallen Member Member
I am in West Virginia. On the border of Maryland.
Pot-I think that is normal to spot. I read a lot and have seen it say it's common in the first trimester. Hope it stops soon so you can feel better.
  • HoustonHouston Member Member
The Atlanta ladies might end up being "host city" for the group baby shower. Looks like they are at the center of the scatter of everyone else.
  • callencallen Member Member
    How fun would that be!!!!
  • D-rizzyD-rizzy Senior Member Senior Member
I am supposed to fly to Atlanta in November to visit my best friend but maybe I can put it off a few months
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
