Hi everyone. Our tww started this morning. this was our second natural iui attempt. Longest 2 weeks ever!! Other than "pineapple" does anyone have any tips of things that can help with potential implantation? Or how to get through these 2 weeks? Last time was brutal only to get to a negative result :-/ .. Wishing everyone well and a lot of success in the upcoming month.

Good Luck Aubandkatie! I've been eating pineapple too but I slacked off since I'm on progesterone for the implantation as well (messy stuff) but oh well if it gets the job done. Oh yeah don't forget to keep your feet warm and to drink warm beverages (herbal teas). The only suggestion I have for getting thru the two weeks is to stay busy! I test on Wednesday and I'm holding out not doing a home test this time. I've been thru this twice now and I total agree it is brutal especially when you get a negative result. Good luck and wishing us all tons of success!

Hi Gia .. Hoping you will have some good news to report tomorrow. We still have a full week left. Ugh. I feel nothing different at all, how about you? Are we supposed to? Last time I felt horrible because of the hcg trigger shot, this time I knew what to expect so there is nothing different.
  • GiaGia Junior Member Junior Member
Hi Aubandkatie ... Well it didn't go well yesterday - no baby for me yet. I woke up spotting yesterday morning and sadly (ok soul crushingly) I knew I wasn't pregnant. Like you I took the trigger shot so I felt crappy mostly nauseous but I wasn't getting excited or taking a hpt because I know the trigger can give you a false positive (I think that's worse than being told know upfront your not pregnant) so back to the drawing board. How about you when do you test? I have my fingers crossed for you.
  • janbabyjanbaby Senior Member Senior Member
Sorry Gia :-( it is crushing every time, gee do I know. I go this coming Wednesday and am praying with all my might that I can finally be done with IUI's and be pregnant this time. It is so emotional and expensive.
  • Aubandkatie19Aubandkatie19 Junior Member Junior Member
I'm so sorry Gia :( It really is such a tough process.. We test on Tuesday. Are you going to give it another try this upcoming month?
  • GiaGia Junior Member Junior Member
Thanks for the support ladies. I'm doing better now. I decided to give it one last try since I have still have 2 vials left. I'm not going to try this month my fsh shot back up it's at 18 now so I am going to try to work it back down again. My doctor thinks I should go for it because I'm losing time but hell I already waited a year what's a month? Janbaby I totally agree with you it's so darn expensive (and nothing is covered for me) so everything is out of pocket not to mention emotional (I ate myself sick). I need to take my time and do it right. I do hope you ladies' tests come back positive! I am crossing my fingers and saying a couple of prayers for you. I am doing a new work up to make sure there hasn't been any changes so I do the histo & sono again this week. I am even looking at my donor he doesn't have any pregnancies although he's been out for a while (that's worrisome). Prayerfully everything will workout next month for me and this month for all of you.
  • GiaGia Junior Member Junior Member
Well ladies any news? How did the tests go? I'm hoping you had better results than me.

Another negative here after 2 natural cycles. Our doc is planning to throw some clomid my way. I hadn't planned on any meds until after 3 tries. Any one have any advice or thoughts on this matter? This process is rough.. The only good part is that you don't have much time to dwell On a negative, it all starts up right away. Thank you for asking gia. Hope you are doing well and have a great month of getting those numbers perfect :)
  • GiaGia Junior Member Junior Member
Aubandkatie - I'm sorry about your negative! Honestly, you know I do know how you feel. It sucks to put it mildly. I am working on my 4th try now and I've done meds I want to say 2 times already and I will be definitely doing meds this time around too. Is any of this covered by your insurance for you? Mine isn't. You are right you seriously do not have any time at all dwell on the negatives of the process which is good/bad because sometimes I feel like it's all I do think about the process - it's stressful (no wonder my dang fsh goes thru the roof) anyway my doctor found a new fibroid in my uterus which he says can cause a miscarriage (and I did some research that sucker could be blocking my implantation) so he wants to remove it on Monday! It's supposed to be a quick outpatient surgery with me being out of work for just a couple days provided he can go in vaginally if not then it's the belly button...Hope not I have good belly button (you have to laugh or find yourself crying).

    Hi Guys,
I'm doing well. I hit 31 weeks this week with baby Evah. So far the pregnancy has been uneventful. I do have a lot of extra amniotic fluid but hoping I can tolerate a few more weeks instead of having to have it drained. Kerri your always on my mind and I hope this months iui goes well.
    Love you all!
    Lisa

Lisa, so good to hear from you, Evah is a cutie, technology is amazing!
I got some more bad news another BFN, but I have to do more waiting I can't just jump back in there on this cycle they found out today my uterine lining is too thick. Now I have to get on birth control for a month to try and make my lining shed better for next month.
Gia, I had a laprascopy/hysterscopy in April to remove endometriosis, at the same time they went thru my belly button and fixed an umbilical hernia, so I got a three for one entry lol. I ended up taking a whole week off from work but that was because I was taking it easy on the umbilical hernia, that's the only thing I had pain from not from the incision in my c-section scar at all.

Evah is a very cute baby. My wife and I are pregnant with donor 4122 as well. Not sure what it is yet, as she is only 6wks. Please keep us posted on little Evah and be on the look out for our updates! :)

P.S. Have you seen the other baby girl conceived from 4122? She looks so much like him. Hoping others will post pics too.

Hey Janbaby - the surgery was pretty uneventful just more or a less a D&C type procedure no belly button incision at all. Not much pain at all just felt a bit sore like I over did crunches. LOL

Good deal, I know the only pain I felt was from the umbilical hernia. Did they find any issues?

First IUI unmedicated was July 7th. Omg this TWW will last forever!!! lol sperm count from donor sperm was 10 million. Everything went in good and the doc complimented my cervical mucous. Didn't know that could be complimented so we'll see. I had lots of big healthy follicles on CD 14, nearly twenty measuring around 16mm. Hopefully it works out! So I guess it's day 1, I'd like to just nap till its over! Lol
  • POT03005POT03005 Senior Member Senior Member
chaffins- I had first IUI yesterday and second one this morning. We are in the exact same wait!!! We can keep each other company over this LONG tww.
  • chaffinslchaffinsl Member Member
    Morning all!

I am 1dpiui and I'm not sure how I'll last a WHOLE 2 weeks lol. Anyone with a BFP know of some signs to start looking for in the days after?

    Donor 4940.
  • LisaAtl7LisaAtl7 Junior Member Junior Member
Good luck guys on your iui's!! I know the Tww is horrid! Sending you prayers!
I was so excited to see someone else pregnant with my donor. I cried twice today thinking about it. Good tears of course.
Btw has anone heard from Denise?
    Kisses
    Lisa

I talk to Denise. They seem to be doing great, her little one is about 3 months old now.

Yes, officially in the TWW (again). OMG!? WTF? Lisa, what OB are you using and do you have to see a MFM?
  • LisaAtl7LisaAtl7 Junior Member Junior Member
    Kerri,
I use Peachtree Womens Clinic (Dr. McDaniel) and for my Perinatologist I use Atlanta Perinatology (Dr. Korotkin). He is an older man and created the practice. He has tons of experience and knowledge. He even retired from Grady in the 70's. He then created the Perinatology pratice. I love him. I also see Dr. Mann at that office she has a great bedside manner. The advantage of going going to the perinatologist is that I can see 3/4 D scans of her now weekly.
I'm glad to hear Denise is doing well.) I need to email her.
Btw. I remember when you had implantation bleeding on your previous Tww. Do you remember what day it was? When are you testing? Did they see a good follie?
Sorry for all the questions.. Is Nicole excited?
    I'm soo excited for you!!
    Kisses
    Lisa

We are using Atlanta Perinatology as well, Dr. Stone who started the practice with Dr. Krotkin. We will have scans (doppler) every two weeks to check the blood flow to and from the placenta and though the umbilical chord since we now know that I have APS and that it will try to clot off the placenta.

I spotted a few times but I don't remember the days. I bled between week 6 and 7 and afterwards was fine until I hit my third trimester and Thatcher died. Our second IUI was done today (I delivered Thatcher 5 months ago today). There have been tons of signs over the last few days leading up to this. Here is hoping...

We are both holding our breath... nervous as all get out as even being monitored we only have a 80% chance of a successful pregnancy and they said I'll be lucky to make it to 37 weeks, and if I make it that far they will endure then. Here's hoping... whats Evah's due date Lisa?
  • LisaAtl7LisaAtl7 Junior Member Junior Member
Aww..you guys are soo strong. I'm soo proud to know you. My due date is August 27th but I'm holding too much amniotic fluid so I'm not sure I'll make it to 40 weeks.
I'll be checking in on you daily and be here for you. I love ya Girl!!
    Kisses
    Lisa

Thanks Lisa. I have a blog I'll share with you that talks all about what happened, but I'll wait until after you have Evah to share it. :)

I had a really great count of 43 million with my first try, but unfortunately it didn't take either. What were your numbers, are you still using 4703?
